I didn't know he copped that logo from John Wayne Airport...and I live in LA.

The fact that the Jets West camp garnered so much attention tells me one thing, the Jets are gonna be in the spotlight again this year.

I was hoping we'd fly under the radar a bit, just because we've sucked for the past two seasons, but I guess not.

    Woody is smiling.

Both of these posts are total horseshit and should be ignored until the fool that posted them can provide anything close to a quote that supports them.

has Brady ever been shut out in postseason? The least amount of pts he led an O to in a playoff loss was 13, Peyton's least amounts? ZERO and THREE.

I bash Brady for his recent postseason performances, they have been very Peyton like but Peyton has been doing this his ENTIRE career.

2001 div rd he played in a BLIZZARD where you couldn't even see the field.

2001 title game he had them moving toward a score(they finished that dirve w/ the only offensive TD of the game)

2001 SB led SUPER BOWL WINNING drive w/ no TOs, inside his 20 and a min left.

You are going to put an average together when he played in a blizzard them barely played in the title game? You know in the Carolina SB they scored just 7 to the same point in the game he came at Pitt. You know they have 2 halves in football? the rest of the game he led NE to 25 pts and 32 in total so please don't post BS averages.

Rodgers was absolutely considered elite, he had led an O to 45 pts in a playoff loss the year before. They had a million injuries and he kept GB afloat then took off and was great in their 4 game postseason run.

Brady is 2 drives away from having 5 SBs where he would have had #s and rings. The difference in winning the first 2 and losing the last 2 was his D gave him the ball w/ a chance to win the first 2. peyton has been a #s guy since day 1 and saw his only SB win in a postseason where he threw 3 TDs and 7 INts and saw his 2nd SB app end on an INT for a TD.

I don't think I brought up peyton, others did b/c I don't evaluate an all time great the same as I evaluate a middle of the road QB.

Brady and Manning will always be discussed together, those that value fantasy #s will take Peyton but Peyton w/ his talent and the talent around him should have won AT LEAST 3-4 SBs by now and made at least 5-6.

Wow junc why didn't you name your reply, "the defense of Nacho"?
Everything right that applies to Brady winning superbowls, seems to be worded parallel with your silly beliefs about your favorite Qb. Manning got beat by Brady and that great New England defense a few times, so maybe his strong window of opportunity closed due to Brady growing (not regressing) with his team, while the defense grew older. Brady had never played with a team that had the Super Bowl winning defenses like in his early career. During Brady's early career he was asked to manage the game with no turnovers, so was nacho. The outcomes are different for Brady and sancho, but in either case nacho will never be a "Brady", he will always be a nacho! Brady's fumble in an important playoff game turned out to not be a fumble. Nacho's fumble was a fumble, and was the difference of the game. not the defense's problem when there wasn't enough time to give nacho another opportunity, he probably would have choked like he does. He chokes way more than he succeeds, while Brady on the other hand did his job, limiting mistakes, being clutch mentally and physically. Brady won superbowls, nacho lost in conference championship games.
Nacho will not lead this team for long, he doesn't have what it takes. He is a pussy, and in the NFL a pussy doesn't play Qb for long.

I've been a Sanchez criticizer and I think this team desparately needs change at QB, but other than dressing like one off the field, Sanchez is not a "pussy" by any means.

He's been very tough physically - taking shots over the years and getting right back up. He's not injury prone or even having trouble playing through pain -ie. he doesn't sit because of nicks or anything. To get him off the field, they literally need to force him to stay off it. (they just need to do that more often!)

Mentally he's been tough too, It would be very easy for a guy like him to crack under the immense NY pressure and snap, point fingers, deflect, etc. He hasn't done that at all. He's not afraid to put everything on his shoulders and accept the consequenses accordingly. For that, I do respect him.

Last season was an absolute nightmare anyway you look at it, but I respect Sanchez for:

    - not dragging Teblow through the mud. He easily could've bitched and moaned about that bullshit sideshow act and maybe he should've, but he opted to take the high road there. A "pussy" doesn't do that.
-When he got benched for McElroy, he was about as tough and professional as you can be.

Having said all that, the guy isn't a "pussy," he might be the opposite actually.
The problem is, he's just not good. Simply not a good NFL QB.. He's always played with great talent that hid his deficiencies (USC, early part of his NYJ career) and now it's more difficult to hide them.

That's why I don't HATE Sanchez. I can hate a player that has all the talent in the world and doesn't/won't use it. I can't hate a guy for trying his best, but not being any good.. where Sanchez is..

Not even close to reality! Nacho exhibits his distaste for contact, in a contact sport mind you, every time he gets pressured. He is easily intimidated, remember the ravens game? Tebows presence blew nacho's confidence, that's little girl like isn't it? My god, the man has been way overpaid since becoming a pro, you would think he would do anything to prove his worth. He hasn't ran the ball much since getting clocked near the goal line his rookie year. He looks, acts, and plays the game like a pussy. He isn't brave! He isn't tough, mentally or physically! He isn't a leader, because he is a puss. Listen to the way he talks, and the way he says things to the media. He screams the world puss, and he doesn't play like he has heart! He plays like he is out to save his own ass.

Not when they win 11 and make the playoffs.

That makes Geno a backup, until AFTER he signs a new deal.

    Distaste for contact?

What have you been watching? This is why no one takes you seriously.

They had to very publicly teach him to slide, because he got hurt taking contact.

Fuck, he ran over a friggin safety, to get in the end zone, i guess you missedmthat game.

disagree, 11 should more than do it to keep him assuming he started all of the games. They'll be in the playoffs with that record, probably even win the east for the first time in years.

It would be kind of dumb to just let him go, it would also be a high reward trade, but why give up a guy thats working?

If somebody bet me the Jets will win 11 games this year, I'd feel bad taking their money.

    But I would.

Exactly, even at absolute best case scenario given the talent on this team and the schedule I dont see how they can pull off more than 9 wins and that is an unlikely best case scenario. But hey its the NFL stranger things have happened

In the VERY unlikely event Sanchez wins 11, he should stay. No questions asked.

However, there is a less than one percent chance of that happening. Even if everything breaks perfectly, I see us with 10 as our max. Not to mention Brady is in our division, and they will win it.

You're high if you are seriously predicting 11 with either Sanchez OR Geno as our starter

He shouldn't stay if we win 11 games. He should stay if we win 11 games and he plays WELL in them.

Hell, we could go 0-16 and I would think he deserves to stay if he plays well. Lol @ attributing a team stat to one player.

$100 says the Jets do not win 11 games this season.

    Any takers?
