What do you think our game plan should be in order to beat the Bucs...? Despite Revis being on the team, I think we should try to throw against a secondary that is still gelling together. Obviously, avoid Revis...but we shouldn't be throwing like 5 times in this game. On defense, Freeman or Glennon will be no match. ESPECIALLY Glennon. I see us getting a lot of pressure and turnovers. What do you all think?
Who is throwing and who is catching? This season is one BIG ?? on offense. Early strategy to beat the Patsies. 1) Understand that they run a hurry up offense. understand that they run a hurry up offense. understand that they run a hurry up offense. Rex, they beat you every time bc you don't understand that they are running a hurry up offense.
Revis can't be beat, but Goldson (FS) and the others can - get Kellen Winslow Jr. involved early and often. Run the football and keep at least a 50:50 ratio in the run pass game.
It depends on how Revis' rehab is going. If he barely makes it back by that game I say we purposely target him. If not, avoid him like the plague. Too many question marks right now, but the key to beating the Bucs is going to be stopping the run and exploiting the other weak corners. Hold Martin in check and the rest should fall into place, provided the offense can at least be semi competent this year.
they need to test Revis early with some double moves to see how the knee responds. He may play week 1 just to play against the Jets but his knee may not be ready.
Agree with the "test Revis early" comments. If you can show a weakness in their only strength on D, then, we might be able to move the ball on the ground and open everything else up. Kellen and Cumberland should gear up for this game.
There is a 0% chance Glennon plays in that game unless Freeman gets injured. Also Tampa sucks Vincent Jackson is gonna get owned by Cromartie, so this games going to completely come down to how well the Jets can stop their running game.
They held them to 21 pts and 381 yds of offense in the first meeting, both season lows. We lost that game because of turnovers as usual. Second game was a wash because of turnovers.
Revis is going to be Revis. I say avoid him at all costs on the pass, but if you can get a running back free on a sweep or bouncing to the outside, run right at him.
They destroy us with hurry up. partly bc Bart and the slow dumb linebackers that we had were totally gassed and totally lost.
maybe it's just me, but do you think we could know revis's weaknesses (if he even has any)? rex helped him become the all-pro corner he is today so im sure he must know something about revis that no one else knows
I live here in Tampa where all they talk about is BUCS BUCS, BUCS. I saw Freeman develop and then take steps back, he is a very streaky QB, and if you confuse him early with Rex's infamous disguised fronts, I think he can be rattled early. I also honestly think Revis will be a ? mark early in the season, but no sense pushing the issue, I say stay away from him. 50/50 run pass, and I say they are beatable. Won't be a gimme, we'll have to work for it, but that's the way it should be anyway, no gimme's...
only because its a home game. we don't want to use the patriot way in fla. they have the death penalty
This may very well be the most winnable game for the first 8. The question is...have there been enough play makers added to the offense? Sanchez is going to start and most here say he needs help...gona be fun to watch.
