sam bradfords stats tell a completely different story. 16 games 18 tds 15 ints 10 games 6 tds 6 ints 16 games 21 tds 13 ints under schottenheimer so bradford had a marked improvement in his td to int ratio under brian schottenheimer. im not sure that this proves anything other than this doesnt prove anything.
Hey...anybody can look up his numbers. Do you know how long it took me to type that all up nice? It ain't easy lining all those columns up. And now you want a column for INT%?...OK YR._____GP_____INTs____INT% '00______1_______0______0.0% '01______2_______0______0.0% '02______15______6______1.50% '03______10______12_____4.0% '04______13______9______2.4% '05______3_______3______3.6% '06_____16____16____3.3% '07_____9_____9_____3.5% '08______16_____7______1.5% '09______3______2______2.7% '10______1______0______0.0% Anything else you can look it up yourself...http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PennCh01.htm I have no agenda here. What am I making up? I could give two shits about Chadwick Pennington or Schottenheimer. Pennington was too fragile and Schotty was a shitty play caller. They're long gone...I don't even know what you're arguing about anymore. You finally sway me to believe that Sanchez should start the season and then you spit in my eye. Nice. I'm gonna go get drunk and dance around with my pants down...and it's all your fault.
Hobbes. I have pointed out above. Jets stopped Broncos offense from scoring. From where? JETS 40. Not once. Not twice. Not three times. FOUR TIMES in the second half alone. Don't you think that's asking too fucking much to hold the Broncos to zero points all the fucking time like that? On top of that, YES. THEY WERE. So whose fault is that? Don't tell me defense shouldn't even have given up a single score. That is ludicrous. And, how many times do I have to tell you? Jets were in position to score in EACH AND EVERY GAME LIKE THAT. The Broncos game? Jets had the ball at Broncos 40 JUST before Tebow mounted the comeback. So what does Sanchez do? Yes. 3-and-out. Regular as a clockwork. If he could stay on the field for a few minutes longer, this whole thing won't even be an issue. Or the Giants game? Before Cruz went on with 99 yard run, YES, Jets offense was at Giants 40. So what does Sanchez do? Yes. 3-and-out. [To his credit, though, this blame should go to Schottenheimer; First down, Greene runs up the gut for 5 yard gain. Then Brian does his cute shit, dialing up end around, which is stuffed for 3 yard loss. In that regard, this one is not completely on Sanchez; I hold him responsible somewhat, since he still could audible out of that dumb fuck of a play call. That said, that has been the theme of the day; running up the gut was very effective, so what does Schottenheimer do? He does something else; dialing up passes some 60+ times, and doing his cute shit all game long. Schottenheimer. What a fucking moron.] That's one of the better days. In Tennessee, Sanchez threw a pick in the red zone, with the clock ticking down. So the offense was in position to score (Or short field.) The defense kept the score close. SANCHEZ THEN FUCKS IT UP. That has been the common theme all the time. And that's not Sanchez's fault? Are you fucking kidding me?
1. That is NOT a marked improvement. Look at how Vick improved. That is how you call marked improvement. [This is all Sanchez has going in his favor.] 2. Sanchez's number steadily improved too, in fact. So how did St. Louis offense fare? They scored less than 300 points. (299) Are you impressed with that? As for Schottenheimer, 2011 was his best offensive production, I believe. (377 - 13th) That is, if you don't count the Favre year (that's the ONLY year Schottenheimer offense eclipsed 400 points.) 3. That's what Schottenheimer is; slightly below average OC. Just why is it so hard to understand that?
He really is average. I was amazed to read that he was considered really good at working with shitty quarterbacks. I really hope this guy Morningwheg can jump start this team on offense. So many times...all we needed was a couple of 1st downs or a decent drive to give the D a blow...and we got a measly 3 and out or a good punt...I mean a turnover. Ridiculous and tiresome.
you dont consider that a marked improvemen? 18 td 15 int to 21 td and 13 int? thats 3 more tds and 2 less ints. i would say thats pretty good. went from a 3 difference to 8. i would say that is pretty good. its irrelevant anyway but that is a pretty good improvement.
the bottom line is: he's only on the team ( still!) due to cap issues/ the guaranteed contract the bean counter gave him. otherwise, the qb contest to start would be smith-mcelroy-sims . none of them have naked videos on the net, as far as i know. evidently, buttfumble 1 wasn't enough. and, don't give me any of that namath shit. he won a super bowl. el taco loco only gets to that game with a ticket purchase, just like you do.
Zach, I get it. But at the end of the day, your defense is handed a lead, with 2 minutes left, and over 90 yards of field and you lose, its not the QBs fault.
Yeah Zach.... Sanchez dialed up two field goals that game. What more could he do? Sheesh...it's like you expect a touchdown every game. Get real.
Handed the lead? The offense was "handed the lead" if anything. The defense did everything they couldve done to win that game. If it wasnt for a horrible pick 6, or the numerous 3 and outs, this wouldnt even be a discussion. Its simple, we would have won. Hobbes, out of all of your arguments, Im just not sure how even your love affair with Sanchez can possibly cause you to believe that this game is on the defense. They let up 10 points all game, and 3 points up until the last few minutes. Its really simple, we shouldnt have been in that situation at all. There no excuses when it comes to the offense here. They didnt perform. I bet if you ask anyone in that offense, and they tell you that loss is 100% on them.
Look, dumbass. If Jets could get measly 5 more yards, Jets can get a FG. [Which WAS a possibility. Like I said above, Jets had the ball at Broncos 40 before Tebow marched 95 yards. Ok?] If you can't see the difference between 16-10 and 13-10, I doubt if you know anything about football defense. If you don't understand that NO LEAD IS SAFE then I don't know what to tell you. You know what? When Chiefs (during Marty's reign) played Seahawks, Derrick Thomas had a career day once, recording ungodly 7 sacks a game. So what happened in the game? With the clock ticking down, 16-10, David Krieg - FUCKING DAVID KRIEG!! - scored TD pass to come from behind. NFL history is literally LITTERED with these examples. On top of that, Jets COULD have gone up by 6; that means, Jets don't have to bother with short yard gains on the ground. As long as they stop the TD, they win. Unlike the 13-10 situation, they don't have to worry about Denver kicking a FG. So, in a prime position to score, what does Nacho do? He does exactly that; 3-and-out. Please. Stop. The ENTIRE WORLD knows what kind of a joke Sanchez is. Only you [Ok. And junc] try to deflect the blame to someone else.
yes the bottom line is sancho would not be here if he wasnt owed so much money and wouldnt cost such a cap hit. and i think that is really the end of the story. sancho fans do you think he would be here if we didnt owe him as much as we do?
In theory a good GM wouldn't have rewarded Sanchez with a new contract loaded with guarantees just because the team failed to seduce Peyton Manning. So this shouldn't be an issue really, his contract should be expired, and if the team felt he was still salvageable, they could've given him a cheap affordable contract to compete. So no matter where you fall in the Sanchez debate, it should be universally recognized that Tannenbaum was the biggest failure on the Jets.
Do you think MM will be like Jim Harbaugh in that he can effectively fix Sanchez (making him good trade bait) while at the same time nurturing Geno for his eventual start (they would not have drafted him if they didn't have plans for him to start)? For me, it would be a pleasant surprise and perhaps the 2nd best outcome for the Jets (the first being Geno starting). Only thing is, our WR may not be up for the task...
If he fixes Sanchez, geno....is trade bait. Kaepernick, actually got on the field, if Sanchez plays well, the potential for a trade, lies in Smiths unkown potential. Let me simplify it. You arent going to parlay Sanchez, into a higher draft pick. You can parlay the 39 pick, into a first rounder.
The team, has never been built around Sanchez. Its been built around the defense. Its really that simple. There are many games, where the argument for blaming Sanchez, os just. Like tenn. Denver just isnt one of them. For those that have been paying attention, Tebows march to a V, and Matt Moores 12 minute march. Were reminiscent of Grudens 18 straight running plays. Hell, you could make a better case against the offense for the 6-3 Green Bay game.
What makes you think it's going to be different today? How is Sanchez going to be better...what has Rex done this off season to make him better?
