Hobbes I would love to take credit for owning your dumb ass but you did it to yourself.

You said that it was disproportional.

If you have a grasp on the English language then you would understand that the word disproportional implies that you have some evidence to show that the NYJ offenses had more throws outside the numbers and down the field in comparison to other teams.

You said it. YOU did. That was the argument YOU brought to the table.

And now you are bitching because I want you to back it up.

Like I said I would love to take credit but you did this to yourself.

Back up that claim or admit you were making shit up. There is no other option.

    LOLOLOL I love it.

    Thank you Hobbes!

    I now can respect you!

You admitted you can't prove a point.

Seriously man, I do respect that. And I mean that with all sincerity. I can actually respect you now that I know that you will yield.

No need to comment further on this point. I have officially let you off the hook

Where does your delusional mind come up with this shit? Really, you think Idzik CHOSE Sanchez? That is the most pathetic excuse of an argument Ive seen on this message board.

Idzik chose to be with the Jets... Thats about it. He inherited Rex Ryan, he inherited the Revis situation, he inherited the "circus" outlook, he inherited the shitty contracts, and he inherited Sanchez.

If it wasnt for his horrible contract, I have a hard time believing Sanchez is on the team. He is untradeable and essentially uncuttable. If Idzik somehow believed Sanchez was the guy, then dont you think he would've made an attempt to really surround him with better weapons? Because if Idzik believed Mark is the guy, you want him to succeed and being that its his 5th year, time is running out. Why would the Jets draft Geno Smith in the 2nd round when they could've drafted Marcus Wheaton, Keenan Allen, Stedman Bailey, Aaron Dobson, Travis Kelce, Vance McDonald, ect in order to surround him with immediate talent? Why not go all in if you really believe he's the guy? No need in drafting another QB, right?

Why do you ignore the reports that the Jets looked to dump Sanchez before and after the draft? Or that they tried to trade up for Geno? Thats not something you do for a player at a position that you dont really need, despite what value they thought he had. When you try and trade up for a player, its because you need him.

And as for us signing a QB in the offseason, we didnt have much money, obviously. We are extremely tight to the cap and couldnt afford a Carson Palmer, Kevin Kolb or even a trade for Matt Flynn. That left us with Gerrard and the possibility of drafting a QB. They narrowed down the 13th pick to Geno and Sheldon, and went with a top 4 rated player... They wouldnt have thought about drafting a QB in the 1st if they were already fully committed to Mark.

Get a grip Hobbes, the only way the Jets are committed to Sanchez is the money they owe him.

Geno Smith will never have the acumen to supplant him.

    Its that simple.

I can respect that you're admitting you do not have this information. That's a step in the right direction. Now please don't continue to pretend you DO have that information. It would be beyond ridiculous now that you've manned up and done the right thing.

The Patriot way is rubbing off on you.

He had an injury that affected his throwing arm whenever it got re-aggravated each season. Same as Sanchez.

Is Sanchez the only QB, among starting QBs, to go through stinger?

I know injuring the shoulder twice is in itself a rare feat. I know Sanchez didn't re-aggravate the neck like Pennington did.

Sanchez re-aggravated it when he got drilled in side of the helmet in week two against Pittsburgh.

Not sure about QBs and stingers. Especially ones that affect the throwing arm.

Penny's 1st year under schotty, was better than nachos.
Farve's 1st year under schotty was better.
    Hell, Clemens wasn't much worse.
The thing you overlook the most is, turnovers. Our defense produced plenty. Nacho gave away the ball, at a faster rate, than our defense could stop or take away the ball.
The Pennington-nacho argument, is only gonna further the nacho resentment.
Here is why........ Pennington was called a noodle arm before schotty. Teams regularly loaded the box on the man because it didn't have to worry about deep throws. Remember? He completed what % of passes in the circumstance? Compare his completion % to nachos. If Sanchez had noodles arm, his completion percentage would be like 30% if you can't remember reality, especially the history of Jet players not named nacho, then how is it you can compare them? How can you blame any coach for the choices that a professional player makes on the field? Just a big cop out to show love to your guy.

Defenses load the box when you have no deep threat, or receiving threat.

    It's simple:
Pennington obviously wasn't able to throw the long ball due to arm injuries, & Sanchez didn't have the Wrs to do anything.

Pennington had a injured arm, Sanchez had a injured receiving core.
    No excuses, these are facts.

I think Pennington was a world class qb, his arm really hampered his career. Sanchez has absolutely no personnel and management.

How is his main receiver and favorite target injured & you get is Clyde Gates lmao. Then you no catching threat in the backfield either, so there go your check down throws.

Can't compare these 2 qbs imo. But Schotty did and does suck. Sporano sucks even more. Like T. Dilfer said it was the absolute worse oc signing.

It certainly wasn't just because of the OC. In 2002 Pennington threw only 6 Ints. In 2003 he threw twice as many in 6 fewer games played. Same OC in both seasons. If Schotty had taken over in 2003 you would be blaming him for Pennington having twice as many picks in 6 less games. It was the same OC, so why did he have twice as many picks in 6 less games played?

Pennington's highest int total in a single season with Schotty was 16. Pennington threw 12 ints in 10 games in 2003. 4 more picks in 6 more games played is not suddenly turning into an interception machine.

Schottenheimer sucked with each QB we had under center. He doesn't take advantage of the players' strengths what he does is restrict their talent and attempts to make the players adapt to his system. It doesn't work that way. There's a middle point you have to reach. Schottenheimer failed in that aspect. I'm intrigued to see how he utilizes Tavon Austin over in St. Louis

We wouldn't of had this QB situation today if we let Rex hire Hue Jackson back in 2009.

How did we make 2 title games w/ an awful OC and awful QB? Don't start on the D crap, even truly great Ds need competent offense and QB play to succeed in January. It's why TB took so long to win a SB, it's why Bal took so long btw SBs, why Chi only won one, it's why the '77 Falcons allowed less than NINE PPG and didn't even make the playoffs but somehow w/ the 2nd worst OC of all time(in front of only Tony Sparano) and the 2nd worst QB of all time(in front of only Browning Nagle) we managed to win 4 playoff games(all on the road) in 2 years which is half the amount we won from 1960-2008.

I'm not even sure why I both answering you if this is the type of response Im going to get from a lengthy answer... Maybe it involved too much football for you mind to handle?

You kind of are like a troll Hobbes. I mean you come up with these false and insane conclusions that only make sense in your mind and have people come up with lengthy, mostly thought out responses only to have you respond with a totally irrelevant post that completely ignores anything that person said just so you dont seem foolish... And then you repeat it, and get a whole shit load of people on your case to which you then evade from the argument and beat around the bush, once again escaping actually talking about football.
