1:31 Ian Rapoport@RapSheetAaron Hernandez used to be a spokesman for CytoSport. Now, company announces end of its endorsement contract "effective immediately" At least one organization has heard enough.
You answered it yourself, he wasn't the HC. That is a HUGE difference. I think this is paranoid Jet fan syndrome. I was told yesterday how there wa no coverage then I checked and the top 3 stories were all about this. He admitted it so while not proven guilty he admitted his poor judgment. I understand the league wasn't suspending for DUIs but I disagree w/ it and feel he should have been and any player should be. As far as ben goes, he did something and he was accused multiple times. regardless of how the last case ended. The initial one he paid the girl off so he did something wrong. if he did nothing wrong why did he pay off the accuser?
This is clearly all a set up job by the Russian mob (i.e. Putin's buddies) to smear Kraft and the Patriots for the ring story and making him look bad. Keep up the good work, Vlad!
He was just as big as the head coach and just as vocal as he is now..probably why he didn't become head coach but that is a different discussion. Point is they followed him around everywhere then too but the Ravens weren't considered a circus because of it.
Many lawyers and companies prefer to settle out of court, just to make it easier and less expensive. People do this all the time. It doesn't mean he was guilty. It's not like he got caught destroying his cell phone or tampering with evidence like the bar security cameras.
If he wasn't guilty he would have fought like crazy to at least avoid the suspension. His case was NOTHING like this one.
No, if they release him I think they'd be on the hook for his guaranteed money. if he goes to jail I don't think they are responsible for the contract anymore.
Yet you were all for the Jets releasing Goodson without knowing any of the facts of his case? Is it all about the money because you seem to have an ethical conundrum here?
we have nothing tied to Goodson, NE has HUGE $ invested in Hernandez. We are starting a new regime and we shouldn't tolerate any trouble makers. The situations are nothing alike.
This seems quite a turn around from your start in this thread where it was not about football and was about someone being murdered, does football not trump murder but money does? What is the cut off? $10 million? $15 million? It just seems very contradictory to me.
i do think that if it happened to be a jets player involved in this situation the media would be all over their 'oh look at the jets again' schtick, that being said, i think its getting coverage just not the amount we as jet fans would expect i guess. either way, dude is a scumbag. it seems no matter what hes going to get sent up for obstruction charges for destroying evidence, well find out soon enough whether he committed the murder or not. but i mean, if you guys watch that show first 48 ever, it seems like its just gonna take little bit of time ironing out the details but they know who was involved. doesnt look good for the pats season with hernandez probably in lockup and gronks body breaking down, amendola probly gets injured at some point in the season as well. just sayin, they might not have a good season.
i think they probably have to terminate his contract at some point. they cant wait for him to go to jail, they can probably use the investigation as breach of contract anyway so theyll still not lose their money or whatever. i dont see him lasting the weekend on the pats. but thats giving the pats too much credit probably
You asked a question, I answered it. There's no contradiction at all. In case anyone hasn't noticed this has been a HUGE media event and will continue to be one. Maybe b/c of the NBA Finals it doesn't seem like it is getting a ton of attention but it is.
100 bucks says if he was connected to the murder that he'll use the "head injuries" excuse as to why his life went downhill and violent the last year in court...
