The Jets failed with a lot of things last year, especially on offense. I think most people thought Tebow had value at a position other than QB. The problem was always his insisting that he was a QB. Obviously he won't be challenging Brady for the qb position so he was brought in for something else. I'm sure McDaniels being there helped his cause quite a bit too. I'll bet Tebow isn't a Patriot come week 17.
Tebow will go out on defense. He will come off the edge. Strip sack Mark and run it back 90 yards for the TD.hmy:
This is hilarious!! This is the best thing that could have happened to the Jets. Anytime Brady comes off the field for Tebow = win. Tebow playing TE or WR = win. Pats forums getting flooded with tebots = win. Pats having to answer questions about Tebow after every game whether he plays or not = win. I love how so many people are claiming the media circus won't follow him to the Patriots, yet all the ESPN radio shows treated this as HUGE news and debated it all day. What a joke. I hope the Pats enjoy the circus. But of course the Jets were bashed for the move, but all the media clowns are praising the Patriots as if they just secured the 2014 superbowl. Funny as hell, the Jets signed Tebow strictly for headlines, but the Pats did it to improve the team... Riiiiiiight. The media isn't fooling anybody. The truth of the matter is that Tebow going to the Jets last year to try the option offense wasn't a big deal, nor a major team altering move. Same with the Patriots. They signed a 3rd string QB that can be a ST utility player.
I hope I am wrong, but I see Tebow scoring against the Jets multiple times over many years. It will be another classic demeaning Jets fan nightmare. ESPN will be gushing at the brilliance of the Pats.
I fucking despise belichick. Guys been shitting on us for almost 15 years, and loves every second of it. He deserves ass AND mouth cancer. Anything less is a great injustice.
I hope the Pats use him to make Wrecks Ryan look like a dumbass. We never gave him a shot on the worst offense in football last year, because of Wrecks and Sporano. Good for Tebow getting a chance with a real coach who can run both sides of the ball and get the best out of players. Unlike that fat pile of shit who coaches our team
Unlike some...I am NOT loving it. I wasn't a huge fan of Tebow on the Jets but the fact we misused him only adds salt to the offensive wounds of last year. This is a guy that was a god in High School and arguably one of the best College Football players ever. Then he goes and take the Broncos to the playoffs and wins a game. No, N.E., is going to take this kid and stuff him down the AFC Easts' throat in some fashion or form...in the EXACT manner WE should have used him last year. I can smell it coming. No, I do not like this one bit.
Calm down. File this under "Haynesworth". Tebow won't see a down all season unless the Pats are already 20 points up on us and Belichick just wants to rub salt in the wounds.
Tebow was signed to play QB. They only kept two last year so his chances of making the team at all are probably not very good. http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/9363337/tim-tebow-circus-come-town-new-england-patriots
If the Pats made Danny Woodhead work, they can sure as hell make Tebow work. If the Pats make this work it just once again shows how inept the coaching on this team is because we completely misused and abused Tebow last year.
I think this move illustrates Tebow brings more to the #3 spot than a player like McElroy, and that a good coach can shut down any problems with people asking about one of his players. But it also illustrates that you should expend these roster spots on players you believe you can develop (like presumably Josh McDaniels does).
And let's not forget how much Rex said he loved Woodhead before cutting him for Clowney. I suppose Woody ordered that move. After all, cutting a guy who already has "Clown" in his name was too good to pass up!
