(1) This signing will be viewed as a genius move by ESPN and the media. In fact, it's already started. http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4744242/rapid-reaction-tim-tebow-patriots (2) The Jets will get hammered for letting such an "incredibly gifted" player walk, and for being a "circus". (3) Tebow will score against us this season, setting off a whole new round of ridicule and scorn.
There's hope. One of the comments to the article linked above is a classic Tebot "all you haters, go watch the game where tebow owned the steelers in the playoffs. Brady hasn't won a SB in years, and if you think about it, all of his super bowl wins were tainted by bilicheat's spygate. Within two years of starting QB, tebow will lead the pats to their first legit lombardi trophy." LMAO. Have fun with that Boston!
I am not sure how you can blame Sanchez for throwing a pass that was knocked down and was only a few inches from turning into another Sanchez pick 6. Remember what appears to be bad is actually good. Sanchez was probably just lulling that LB into a false sense of security to set him up for future retribution. After all one cannot simply play bad for one play or even one game. It takes many years of bad and atrocious play to to properly get a defense to completely disregard your presence on the field. Which is why he has been doing his best the last 4 years to remove himself from our roster.
Tebow and the Patriots. I can already see the bandwagons coming together like some sort of annoying megazord.
Tim Tebow Not even July 4th weekend yet and "BLAM!" All of a sudden all the NFL team message boards are very active by the mention of one name: "Tebow". This is going to be a FUN off season. I suspect, now The NFL Network, and ESPN will be very entertaining to watch. Not to mention reading "EXTRA! EXTRA! Read All About It!" in the New York and Boston daily newspapers. :rofl2: Have fun youse gals and guys. WOW! What an upcoming NFL season this is going to be!
I knew he'd be back in the NFL (after he was released, you had people saying now he'd have to go play in the CFL or lingerie league or whatever). Surprised it's New England, though.
Tebow will never be a QB for the Pats, but IF he makes the team, I'll bet Tebow is used in a much more imaginitive and productive manner than the Jets used him. Rex and Sparano didn't want Tebow in the first place, but instead of at least trying to make something positive out of it, they sabotaged the guy. When they put him in a game once in a blue moon, they ran the same keeper play into the line every fuckin time. It's called biting off your nose to spite your face.
Most people that said that also qualified it with if he was dead set on being a QB. Going to NE pretty much solidifies the fact that he's willing to give up that dream to stay in the NFL, which is smart. I think there's a good chance the Pats cut him too.
I'm not naive. I am just a fan of the New York Jets who happens to follow the team every day. It was Rex who allowed a massive press conference in the practice dome for his backup QB. It was Rex who held the classified, super top secret practice to unveil the Ultimate wildcat package with plays drafted by physicists at NASA. It was Rex who said 2 weeks before kickoff that he might play Tebow 20 or even FIFTY plays a game. He created he drama. He hyped up Tebow. He created the circus. What did Tebow do last season? NOTHING. Zip on the field or off. He was a complete non-factor outside of Rex created hype. For some reason many fans don't want to hold Rex to the standards of a normal head coach. Just like they don't want to hold our quarterback who has the skills of a very good high schooler, to the standards of a NFL starter. Now we can sit back and watch a real coach handle a so-called circus. The Pats signed Ocho Cinco at the height of his reality-TV madness, and we never heard from him aside from his twitter. Bellicheck will not be holding an internationally-broadcast press conference to introduce his 3rd string quarterback. He won't be making Tebow available for weekly sit downs with the press. The most Tebow will be speaking to cameras is 4 minutes every other week. This is how a real HEAD COACH handles a so called "dramatic" situation. Let's also remember that the same offseason they signed Ocho, the Pats also signed Albert Haynsworth who made headlines all season for the drama he caused in DC. Again, for a whole year we never heard from the guy. Rex's skill set is perfectly suited for the WWE. He'd be a first ballot hall of famer as a manager or enforcer had he opted to go that route. But in the NFL his style is lacking. A Head coach runs the team and molds it. Rex just wants to coach defense, have some beers and oveype his team (like last year, "the best team he's ever been around in his career"!! LOL!).
Yep. LOL. I can't wait to see Rex's face when Tebow runs up the gut for 15 and a score in week 2. "Well, you know guys. Mark gives us the best chance to win.."
What did Tebow do to "seek attention"?? The guy was a complete non-factor. He never even "Tebow'd" once all year. Not even in pre-season. lol.
