Is that so? Then it surely makes sense to keep him till his exemption runs out (or more attractive candidate emerges somehow.)
i will say and agree with that every single time its said football players dont wear pads cause they are pussies, they wear pads cause if they didnt theyd fucking die out there.
The pads (and, most importantly, the helmet) also allow them to play the game in a far more physical way than rugby is played. Take the pads and helmet away and the game would have to change dramatically, so I don't think we'd be seeing lots of fatal injuries unless the players were crazy enough to continue playing in the same way. And I've always thought that football is way more physically demanding than rugby. Rugby has increased in intensity about threefold over the past 20 years or so, but it still doesn't come close, really. The rules of rugby limit the amount of contact away from the ball, while in football there's potential to get blown up on every play.
One can successfully argue that the reason NFL players throw themselves at each other so vicously is because they have pads and are much less likely to incur injury from any sort of physical contact. Just the Helmet alone makes a huge difference in how aggressive someone will be.
So, basically you're saying you think Hayden Smith has as much wear on his tires as a normal 28 year old American High School/Division 1 NCAA college football player/veteran NFL player. Because he played. Rugby. In not America. Got it. _
it should be the next two days i guess. im assuming not tomorrow because connor orr didn't give a heads up about it. so basically, my best guess is wednesday
Hill still having problems with his knees. Man I hope this clears up. Hope he isn't going to have another injury plagued season. Also saw these two tweets that don't really bode well: Rich Cimini @RichCimini 29m Practice over. QB tally: Sanchez 9-for-19, 1 sack (25 reps), Smith 5-for-9, 1 sack, 1 INT (14 reps). Sparano-esque day for offense. #Jets View details · Rich Cimini @RichCimini 36m Sanchez leads one of ugliest 2-minute drives ever. With a no-name receiving corps, he goes 4-for-9 and time expires w/ ball at 20. #Jets View details ·
Geno's numbers haven't looked all that great this spring but he's a young QB facing Rex's defense for the first time. Not great isn't a killer in that situation. Sanchez has just looked like more of the same thing we've seen from him. He's a 5th year player and he should be losing this competition hard at this point. He does seem to be getting more reps but he isn't doing anything with them.
The WR continually nagging injuries are getting me concerned. who knows how quickly Holmes will return to form. Hill is raw when healthy, and is showing a lot of injury prone tendencies. Kerley can likely fill in for Holmes, but we need a backup plan for Hill. It's a pass happy O, and these QB's will need dependable options (especially with no quality TE). They have these OTA's to assess the young guys. I think bringing in a low cost vet is needed unless really impressed with any of the young guys to play Hill's spot.
This should be taken into consideration: Conor Orr With Sanchez, remember: No Hill, Holmes, Kerley or Gates. #nyj 11:58AM EDT
Is our receiving corps really so sad that not having Clyde Gates is supposed to be considered a big deal?
Middle of July? Got to get him cheap if they're going to bring him in and he won't be cheap until it's clear he's not getting a deal until somebody gets hurt in camp.
