49ers weapons and OC were a lot better. Either way Sanchez took them to the AFCC game with those weapons. Kap has to prove he can do it when the pistol does not work anymore a but load of tape on him and without Crabtree.
Again, The point is moot Geno is not Kap nor is Sanchez. Sanchez will either play better and more consistently under MM or he will sit. We will know by the end of camp where Sanchez is not after the first OTA.
HA HA HA, so glad you brought up this example. First Quarter vs the Falcons falcons score 10 points and consume 10 minuts of the first quarter to SFO's 0 points....Does Special K lay down and die because the defense put them in a 10 point hole in the first quarter? NO, he does what a big game QB does, he comes right back in the 2nd quarter and puts up 14 points, yes the defense gives up another 14 points and the 49ers are still down by 10 at halftime. The point is Kaepernick didn't lay down and he kept the team in the game in the first half. and there's a big difference in the second half of the game as well, Kaep gave the 49ers the lead. Sanchez VS Pittsburgh never came close to giving the Jets the lead, in part because he couldn't do shit in the first half. You then use Pittsburgh's defense as a reason mark couldn't move the ball, I'll remind you that the Falcons have a hell of a defense and that didn't stop Kaep. You see Junc that's what big game QB's do, they step up when the defense falters, they move the offense and they get the job done and at least make the game close on the sheer force of will. Sanchez wilted and died because the jets were in an early hole....by your own admission. That is not the trait of a franchise QB, or a big game Qb.
So let me get this straight, the Defense doesn't give up a first down, get's a pick and it's the defenses fault the offense couldn't score becaue they didn't give them great field position? It's the defense fault that having gotten the ball on the Jets 35, which isn't horrid field position, it's only 65 yards to the endonze, that the offense could only muster -3 yards? Or maybe it's special teams fault that on the following series special teams retruned the ball to the Pittsburgh 40 yardsline and the offense could only get it to the 37......3 lousey fucking yards...but yeah, that's special teams fault, they should have returned it to the 2 yard line so Sanchez could get credit for an easy TD. I swear, is there ever a day you don't claim "the dog ate Sanchez's homework?".
Do you people think that Sanchez has the confidence of his teammates? Do you think that one of those guys is going to stop and contemplate a play Sanchez might have made THREE YEARS AGO?
Answer to the first question is no, I don't think Sanchez has the confidence of his team mates, and the answer to the second question is no, I don't think players stop to think about a play 3 years ago, though in 3 years they may still be thinking about the buttfumble. I think most players probably like Mark, but I don't think he has the confidence of his team mates either. He's never struck me as the guy players look towards when they're down as being THE guy who can bring them back. Granted in 2010 he did have 7 4th quarter comebacks, but when you look at them they were only games that should never have been behind if the offense had done anything at all in the first 3 quarters. 4th quarter comebacks are nice if your offense has been moving the ball in the other 3 quarters and the defense had an off night so the offense bailed them out...but 4th quarter comebacks when if the offense had even been remotely competent should have been easy wins.
Ask me, Santonio Holmes had WAY more to do with those clutch play comebacks in 2010 than Sanchez did. Holmes, not Sanchez for the most part.
I wonder if Woody Johnson has calmed down yet. I read that he threw a hissy fit after the Titan game. He does sign the checks still, right?
Hey Hobbes, Remember when you tried to blame the buttfumble on Greene and Moore? Remember when Sanchez said he forgot the play and missed the hand off to Hilliard and Rex and Tony said the ball was supposed to go to the FB? And you still said all of that was just Sanchez being a leader and not throwing his guys under the bus? ^ What do you think of Mark's comments after throwing 3 picks in practice a few days ago: Sounds like he is throwing some guys under the bus, wouldn't you say?
You're right, he is throwing them under the bus. But to be honest, (I have been saying all along), players weren't running the right routes last season, and he lost confidence in his teammates which was the major reason for the epic disaster last year.
Having lived in Los Angeles for 30 years, I can translate what Sanchez meant. “If a guy’s there or not there, I can’t fix that." means "I'm gonna throw the ball anyway." "I just got to be on my game, worry about me and trust that the coaches and everybody will see that." "And hopefully notice that I didn't pump fake on the play." "And they will.” "They owe me 8 million dollars."
This is why you are a jackass. Put the quote in context. Then you tell me, who he is throwing under the bus Please stop making shit up. (maybe you could provide a link to where Rex said the ball goes to the FB, or was it the voices in your head) he isnt even necessarily talking aout being picked off...maybe.,,you are unaware that MM runs a WCO where the QB is instructed, at times to drop and deliver. Somewhere theres a tape of the great Bill Walsh schooling a wideout, saying...hes letting it gp...you have to be at that spot at that time. (a football life, maybe)
Listen, I'm ready to move on without Sanchez as much as the next guy. But I have NEVER EVER seen as much scrutiny over some OTA interceptions as there has been this week. Its crazy. This guy has had 3 different OCs in the last 3 seasons, and didn't have any of his top weapons this week. Give him a freakin' break!
It is pretty clear that he was talking about the interceptions. That is what the whole article is about. Regardless, he is throwing his receivers under the bus with that comment. Rex said Sanchez made a mental mistake on the handoff and that he turned out the wrong way. Sanchez confirmed this and said he was thinking of a different play in his head. When Sanchez was specifically asked who the ball was supposed to go to, he said the FB. You still choose to believe the buttfumble was Greene's and Moore's fault and try to paint it as Sanchez being a leader which just shows how delusional you are when it comes to trying to defend Sanchez. I provided the links to the press conference when I posted all of that the first time. Go back and read it again.
no you didnt. Rex and sparano didnt say it, you made it up As for not throwing guys under the bus..and leading..it appears, you are the delusional one...even Brandon Moore says so. Once again....Its good your a night owl. I like to start the day off with a good chuckle.
Haha... let me help you stay on topic here... The point being made was; Sanchez is deflecting blame. In true politician manner, you quickly try to make it seem relevant who he is deflecting it onto, when it is utterly irrelevant. But I can see why you want to run away from quotes like that as fast as possible. You better be more cautious of getting into quotes like that in the future, they're true cryptonite to your cause and will blow contradicting holes in your preached gospel.
