he was the passenger and the gun was in the truck not on him. so lets wait until a verdict comes out ok. innocent until proven guilty
If the reports are accurate then he just missed the "trifecta" to get a long term suspesion, at least he wasn't the driver. I'd be surprsied if between the 2 known charges, assuming he is charged officially, he'd get no less than a 4-6 game suspension. Lynch got a 3 game suspension just for a concealed firearm in his vehicle and that didn't have drugs or hollowpoints attached to it. So assuming Goodson is charged he's out for at least 1/4 of the season, depending on how the league decides to proceed...and that's assuming that the Jets front office doesn't intervene and lay down the no circus discipline...the Jets are a team that can Ill afford to be non chalant here.
Regardless of whether he's guilty nor not, the league will suspend him. I think the Jets should release him and move on. I think if they don't let him go, like they did Cliff Harris and the other guy, it sends a terrible message.

This opens the door for Joe Mcknight. Whom by the way is just as good as Goodson talent wise & I think has the ability to be a solid contributor in this new offense. Willing to bet Goodson is gone. Jets have made a concerted effort to to stay low key/no nonsense this off season. They'll wanna cut ties fast
Was it Goodson's vehicle? Anything found in the vehicle is going to be attributed to the vehicle owner unless it was on somebody else or everybody agrees it belongs to somebody else.
HE was arrested for the gun and the hollow points. I don't know if the driver was too or not but he was according to reports. Just found the answer. Apparently Goodson was the passenger. No idea whose vehicle it was since if Goodson was very drunk he could easily have given somebody his keys. The gun was found somewhere in the vehicle. Neither man claimed ownership. The ownership will likely be decided by whose prints are on it. Both men currently charged with possession of it and charges will likely be dropped against the lucky winner of the fingerprint derby. The guy who was driving is charged with DUI and possession of the gun. He's a felon and if it's his gun he is going to do a lot of time. So he's going to fight back on the possession charge until prints tell the tale. It's not clear if the marijuana was found on Goodson but the odds are good it was since the other guy is not charged with possession of it. Lots of scenarios here including that Goodson got drunk at a bar and took a ride home from the wrong guy while in a drunken stupor. If he knew the guy and was riding with him, well that's the kind of move that destroys careers and I am guessing Goodson is done at that point.
