Can't remember the last time the Rangers traded for someone that made this big an impact so fast.

    Maybe Steve Larmer?

Is there a reason Kreider isn't seeing much time? Or just got int the doghouse and Torts doesn't want to let him out in the playoffs

I never saw a goal coming more than the Rangers starting the 3rd with a PP. Terrible. It was a nice goal though (and pass) for sure.

It's funny though because when we were up 1-0 I turned to my buddy and said, "I have this terrible feeling we're gonna go up 2-0 and by the third period it's going to be 2-2." The lack of a killer instinct really irks me with this team. They play like a wounded animal at all times.

He is another example of someone who is not one of Torts favorites who actually get punished for individual bad defensive plays.

You don't think Kreider has been punished by the head coach of this team?

Snorts hasn't given him a chance all season, you would have thought after his good play in last years playoffs, he would...but he's in Snorts doghouse with about 6 other guys he dicked around this year...wasted talent, we could use his size and speed

None of those 6 were Richards or Del Zotto, because we all know their play has been FLAWLESS all year, right Matt?

I htink barring injury, we're not seeing Kreider anytime soon so lets get over it. He was a defensive liability in his limited play this year so theres not a big chance he gets the call in the playoffs. Torts' being too hard on him or not, I think we can stop bringing up Kreider's name every other day

yeah 8 GF in the last 2 games = I don't care about Krieder right now, I'm more concerned with the 6 GA the last 2. don't need anymore defensive liabilities on the ice.

He wasn't as bad as you're making it sound Jonny, he hardly ever played, it's hard when you make one mistake and you're benched

I'm going to take the opposite approach here, which is no doubt going to be the unpopular one. Torts obviously doesn't have a vendetta against any of these guys, nor has he ever had one; minus Sean Avery. They're not playing for reasons. Anyone that would help the team win would be in the lineup. Considering a coach's job rides on wins and losses, I highly doubt he would make a decision to bench someone that could help achieve the ultimate goal.

fair enough but the point is we wont be seeing Kreider anytime soon because its the playoffs, we are without Staal to boot, and Torts isnt gonna put Kreider out there at this point so he can gain confidence. Thatll happen in September

I haven't been able to watch much or any Rangers unless they were on national TV. So I had to follow view box scores and game cast

Probably the only way we see him is by injury...I'm still holding out a little hope for Staal
