I admitted I was wrong about Steps MONTHS ago. Right here in this thread somewhere. Hags has been very good the last month or so. But I still am not fully on board. He still didnt produce enough this year. As far as picking on Hack, well if you deal me 4 aces, Im not folding
Hank has been OK. I've gotta believe he's not happy with himself though. Wouldn't be surprised to see pissed of Hank next game, which means he stops 38 shots and lets next to nothing in.
I've been saying it all along Tommy speed kills, they pinch 5 guys, speed will lead to the odd man rushes
I was saying to my buddy while watching the game last night, give Kreider a true "Torts camp" before a (full) season starts and I think it will work wonders. His work ethic and efforts are there, he's just not executing defensively. His skill set is like a Torts dream player. Size, speed, and physicality. He'll be fine. I suspect him to have a full stint with the team next season sans the shuttling back and forth from Hartford.
This season, Steve Eminger averaged 9:58 ice time per game, lowest of any defenseman on the New York Rangers, better than only Krieder, Powe, Asham, and Newbury on the whole team. Last Night, Steve Eminger played for 5:54. All statistics, courtest of nhl.com So to answer your question, no, no one in my section was so concerned with defending yet another poor play by Michael Del Zotto, that during the third period of a close playoff game, they commented how Steve Eminger recieve four minutes less ice time than he normally does. Are you sure you have your priorities straight?
so youre saying, you have no idea what you are watching. When you jumped online to tell us how MDZ "assisted" on another Cap's goal, the rest of the world was screaming at Eminger, the real culprit on the play. It was so egregious and obvious an error, that Torts benched him for the rest of the game. The rest of the 2nd and all of the 3rd. Did you realize we played with 5 defensmen? of course not. Because like I continue to point out, you have no idea what you're even looking at. I'll sum up for you........THE GOAL WAS EMINGER'S FAULT, NOT MDZ'S. Everyone else in this thread has already moved on from that fact. They ALL know this. But you INSIST on actinglike a fuckin 9 year old and continue to argue against the OBVIOUS.
Again, I admit, during the third period of an NHL Playoff game, most of which was tied or a 1-goal differntial, I failed to notice that Steve Eminger received four minutes less playing time than normal. What I think you fail to realize that Tortorella does not automatically bench people who do not play well. Surely, if this were the case, Brad Richards would have had serious reductions in his playing time this season, in addition to Del Zotto. However, Tortorella, like any coach in any sport, has his favorites, and will never punish them regardless of their poor play. Eminger was an easy target: punish the guy who gets the least ammount of time. But you said it yourself, while Eminger made an error, Del Zotto poorly defended that 2-1 rush. The announcers agreed with me, as they criticized his DEL ZOTTO's decision to lie down (See the 5:50 point of this video So to summerize: Eminger made a bad play and paid for it. Del Zotto made yet another bad play in this series. He has yet to pay for any of them. I was looking at Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. You were looking at Michael Del Zotto play hockey, since that apparently is more important to you than the Rangers' success. You were the one who made three posts goading me to respond about the play. I merely did what you asked, and used staistics to make you look foolish.
hahahha dude, I give up. You actually think youre right. You dont know hockey and we' will leave it at that. My PM box is too full right now from all the messages telling me not to waste my time with you. I htink its time I listen to them.
I would like to publicly invite any of those messaging you to feel free to contact me here on the board. I would welcome the opportunity for an intelligent conversation about the sport.
He had been terrific. McDonagh is making me insane. For every great play he makes, he makes an equally dopey one.
dude, no need to invite anyone. Theyre all watching. Everyone in the thread but you said its Eminger's fault.....crock, Jaywayne, MR, eyedea........everyone already disagrees with you. My problem is Im not as smart as they are and Im still arguing with you like an asshole
