Figures. I had my bowling league tonight and couldn't focus on the TVs. Saw the Richards goal, Caps' goalie really fucked up on that one.

Brassard, Hagelin, Stralman were all phenomenal tonight.

Long term center depth looking decent with Stepan, Brassard, Lindberg, Miller. I just hope this was the shake up that Brass needed. He's been a stud since the first game he's been here.

Caps fans are definitely overreacting in a negative way to Holtby right now. I have a more 2008 Brett Favre approach. It is what it is. Move on. He still made some great saves tonight. The Caps D looked pretty bad.

Except for that first goal where he put himself out of position, there wasn't much he could do against the last three goals. All great shots.

The amazing thing is that the CAPS with all of their pressure, they will get burnt on breakaways/2 on 1's etc. On those he was great. Its the thing that will hurt teams like the Caps.

The big question is are the Rangers on to something scoring 8 goals in two games or do we see them revert back to struggling to score in Washington..because it looks like the Caps will score 3 goals at least every game with that pressure.

The best you could call Holtby's performances in the 2 games in NY is ordinary. And ordinary doesnt win a lot of series. I wouldnt be panicking, just sayin I might start be a little concerned

What would you call the Caps overall team performances in New York? Ordinary might have won a game. The 4th line is the only one that showed up tonight until the final few minutes. No need to panic, but the Rangers could easily win the series now.

It's going to come down to the wire. Either way it's going to be close games.

A great effort by the Rangers tonight as they manage to hold on and win a crucial game despite Del Zotto's efforts to hand it to the Capitals.

Holtby bit so hard on that first pass....how far does he go out to chase hagelin exactly? That was a TERRIBLE play by Holtby.

ok, its been about 12 hours or so since the Capitals scopred their first goal. Does any one think Hackett realizes who fucked up for the Rangers on that play yet?

That's such a pretty goal. Holtby bit so hard on that little pass to Hags, and it literally looks fake with Ovie aimlessly drifting into the screen.

Nah, he has his stick. It's right in front of him. You can see it between his legs at the very end of the gif
