This is not the appropriate way to respond. The appropriate way to respond is to assure Geno that the anon campaign is not effecting his status in the eyes of the team, suggest that he not respond either, and tell him that he's going to have a chance to poke all of those anon sources in the eye this fall and he needs to come to camp ready to take advantage of that. The Jets look like they are reformulating their media strategy for the new era. It's best not to get off-track on a single issue while that is happening. Geno Smith will be fine. He needs to get a new agent, stick his nose in the playbook and come to camp ready to fire it up.

In the "Geno Smith with Jon Gruden" video, I think Smith comes across as a straight shooting, honest man. No fidgeting, no looking down or away when asked questions. The last line by Gruden about GSmith, "He's a very conscientious, high character guy", speaks volumes.
