I didn't know where to put this topic, just a little something fun. basically what you do, create your own Jet All-Star team, what I mean by this is you fill the roster with only Jets players. they could be dead or alive and from any era, the only stipulation is they had to have played for the Jets. doesn't matter if it was for a few games or 10 seasons. as long as they rocked the Green and White they are free game. feel free to add coaches if you want as well.

    Offense
    QB: Joe Namath
    RB: Curtis Martin
    FB: Thomas Jones
WR: Keyshawn Johnson and Wesley Walker
    TE: Rich Caster
    C: Nick Mangold
OT: D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Winston Hill
OG: Alan Faneca and Randy Rasmussen

    Defense
DE: Shaun Ellis and Mark Gastineau
    DT: Joe Klecko
    NT: Kris Jenkins
OLB: Mo Lewis and John Abraham
    MLB: Jonathan Vilma
CB: Darrelle Revis and Aaron Glenn
S: Ronnie Lott and Laron Landry

mickey shuler was really good. far better than keller. its really hard not to put wesley walker on there and freeman mcneil although curtis martin was far better.

I'll go with him then, never really liked Keller's game, but I never got to see a really great TE play for the Jets. Shuler was before my time.

Al Toon was much better than Chrebet, but did have a shortened career from injury. Maynard was about a billion times better than Keyshawn could ever dream of being.

I don't expect people here to know it, but Gerry Philbin was better than Shaun Ellis, and Larry Grantham was far better than Marvin Jones.

I'd be perfectly fine with a Maynard/Toon/Chrebet (slot) 3 WR set.

Keyshawn is dead to me...and quite honestly he wasn't that great to begin with (I don't care about the stats - I care about the heart, which he never had).

I'd go with Chad Pennington over Joe Namath honestly.

Thats rediculous Joe namath was a great qb. You can't just look at his stats because they don't tell you the story on joe. Theres a few games on youtube you should watch them and See him throw the football. It was a different time when he played so the stats throw him off a hit but a HOFer nonetheless.

    All Jets

Boy you guys are young. Don Maynard, Wes Walker, Mickey Shuler, Matt Snell, Joe Fields, Gerry Philbin and Winston Hill belong on any All-Jets team.

If you include Atwater, even though he did jack as a Jet, then I would definitely have to add Art Monk to the list. Or Pepper Johnson, Trevor Pryce...hell, even Nick Lowery. So shouldn't we just stick to the guys who weren't just one and done guys who weren't ready to retire yet? Some ground rules would make sense. Just sayin'...
