I was never a fan of signing Tebow in the first place. However the Jets used him to sell jerseys, and never gave him a shot. He remained a class act, amidst the media circus, and I truly wish him well. Just wondering, what did we give up for him in the first place? I don't think anyone will ever truly tell the truth, as to who wanted him. Now let Sanchez thow his way out of NY.
Kansas City Chiefs, he can be a good backup for Smith, I heard that Andy Reid is a good QB coach, I just don't know if they drafted a QB last weekend. Also is a low profile franchise, no circus. Yes Chargers could be a fit. Cardinals. Denver. IF NE had traded Mallet, then would be interesting to see him under BB and Brady. Jaguars for sure, he can be a starter there, Gabbert is a joke, but Chad Henne has skills. The key is, you have to put him either as a starter in a bad team that has no playoffs chances like Browns, Jaguars, and hoping that he can squeeze something out of it, or in a team with a solid QB that will not be afraid of competition. If you put him in Dallas it would be the same mistake that happened in NY. A mental midget QB, with more pressure and struggling tending to infinite, at the same time Tebow would not learn nor help in any sense. So it would be a loss-loss situation.
he's gotta go to canada if he wants any shot at being a qb. i dont think there is an nfl team out there that wants to deal with the circus that comes with tebow. if he goes up north, he can get a shot and prove he can play again (i doubt he can but whatever at least those wacky canucks will give him a shot)
And another error in New York Jets history comes to a close. Two facts we should not forget: A) Our heralded Rex Ryan led defense could not stop him in Denver with an important game on the line. B) He never, not one time, not even in a preseason game, crossed the goal line to strike his famous Tebow genuflect pose in a Jets uniform. There is no photographic record of him in his pose wearing our jersey. I find "B" to be amazing. He never scored, not even in a preseason game! I don't blame Tim Tebow for that, I blame our inept offensive brain trust last year. I'm praying Morhinweg changes our fate this year. To think that after all of that talk and BS, he never had the ball in his hands to plunge one over. How pathetic were we last season?
Love some of the ESPN comments Mark Sanchez threw a going away party for Tebow... But it was intercepted and ran back for a touchdown.
There is zero chance Denver takes back Tebow. I see the Jags and Cardinals as possible suitors, and that's about it.
No one wants Tebow. Those stupid enough found out why the smart franchises laughed at them. Nice guy finishes last when you can't throw and the only thing you can bring to a franchise is a cult of crazies.
Great person, wishing him the best in his career and his life . I dont fault Tebow for wanting a chance to succeed, I fault the Jets, namely Woody and Tanny for buying into this shit and letting Denver screw us out of a 4th round pick for someone they could not wait to let go. Tebow should have never beign considered an NFL starter. Denver knew damned well he was no QB, but I guess we were too stupid at the leadership helm to understand that.
For those saying he will be picked up as a backup QB- I doubt any team would do that. We all saw what happened when we tried having him as a backup- ESPN and the tebots go crazy and its not worth the headache
Kurt Warner played in the Arena Football League for two years, becoming a star in the fast-paced ricochet-laced game there. Warren Moon played in the CFL when the NFL wasn't interested and returned to be a very good NFL QB. So did Joe Theisman. So did Doug Flutie. The template for Tim Tebow's redemption as an NFL QB is out there. The question is does he have the humility to pursue it to places like Montreal and Des Moines?
I echo those comments. In a sense. I felt he was a victim. The team wanted him to sell PSLs and create buzz. Ryan and especially Sparano had no clue what to do with him. I personally think he could have had succeeded if a more creative mind was leading the Jets offense. But of course the Jets hired Tony Sparano. Another bad fit.
He won't be a starter in Canada, at least not this season. If he goes to Montreal he'll be backing up the best CFL QB of all time.
I guess the 2012 season ruined his value. Also, the other teams knew the Jets had to drop him, so they weren't interested in trading anything. Another team will pick him up.
