This is probably the first draft of the Jets where I didn't at least get one pick right at some point.
I agree and disagree. I think Idzik views OL and DL as need picks. The OL picks goes back to what everyone said about Idzik prior to the draft. He is conservative and will want to build both lines 1st before everything else similar to what Seattle did. I hate to lose out on players I like or positions of need like safety, TE and OLB but I do like we are adding OL, creating completion on the line, adding versatile flexible players and adding depth. Not everyone is going to stick but hopefully we get a couple of good ones. With Colons injury history I would hate to see us relying on Ducase to play guard. Campbell looks like a developmental player they must have really liked. He might be a practice squad guy for a year then be ready next year.
is Chase Thomas still available? I would love that in the 7th. but then again I haven't predicted any Jets pick correctly except the Milliner one.
There are a lot of teams who's drafts I just love. I'm actually okay with most of the Jets draft, I would have preferred to draft Lattimore in the 4th rather than trade for another oft injured RB, Lattimore fit better for a WC offense. I wasn't overwhelmed with the #1 pick, but I can live with it as it was BPA. But for a team that said they needed to get faster the Jets have totally failed.
I don't care what Da'Rick Rogers did. I'd love to get him with a 7th round pick! If it works out, the kid has tremendous upside. If not, cut him. Anyone know what the deal is? Does he have charges pending or something?
