Does anyone have an actual reason for the Geno hate?? He's already probably the second best of our SIX qb's.

And that is about as sad a statement as can be made.

Exactly, you can hope for next year or take what is given to you NOW. Theres no telling what happens to either big name next year. Its not poor planing its a taking advantage of a sure thing (By sure thing I mean a sure thing that you got a well projected QB, who knows how this all pans out)

...why? how do you know that?

Kerley will catch some bubble screens but he doesn't scare anyone into thinking he can take a 2 yard dump pass and go 60 yards with it.

I hope they let Sanchez fight it out with Smith and Garrard -- one of the 3 have to be able to run this new WCO.

Hell you saw Sanchez last year struggly all season because they took away a pass catching running back and his TE was injured. In the NFL you need both of those - Jets had none last season.

This is a great draft. I love the discipline. Not jumping like little kids and trading half the draft to move up. Geno at 13 is stupid. Geno at 39 is brilliant. If he sucks......its a 39th overall pick, if he is good...... Jackpot. Either way, saying F U to Sanchez is awesome.

Agreed, it's an excellent value pick with little strings attached, it's not like we picked him with our 13th in the first, in which case the investment would be huge not only because we used a mid/early first on him, but also because it was the pick we got for Revis. No, we picked him in the 2nd, a guy highly regarded as the top QB in the class, albeit a weak QB class, but you just can't pass on the option, and if he doesn't work out, oh well, they can move on. And people can't just assume the other options the Jets could have picked are insta-studs either.

    It's over.

Just accept it and move on.

Lol, Richardson was not a reach. He was going in the 1st round mid teens.

this is the saving grace. he will NOT hamstring the team for the next 5 years. if he isnt any good he will disappear and we will start again in a year or two.

Panthers were picking Richardson if we picked Star. Floyd fell because of his short arms.

not in the NFL you haven't.

show me a weak TC performance, a complete lack of skills to get the job done in a pro play book after starting a few regular season games, then we'll talk about booting him out of the league.

All the tape? Just YouTube him, they have videos of every thrown he makes in a bunch of games. I watched probably an hours worth of his actual throws (which is probably six or seven full games worth of throws) and wasn't impressed. I'll go back and watch them all now since he is a Jet, before I just wanted some points of reference.
