GREAT value pick, say what you want but he completed almost 74% of his passes in college which is outstanding. Not to mention thats what the west coast system is about, completion% and mobility, he can do both.

You must be kidding me. Milliner and Richardson are excellent prospects, as is Smith. To say these picks have set us back is simply ignorant at best. I'm not being abrasive or dismissive, just honest. You have absolutely no basis for those comments at all. The draft is about building a team, not immediately plugging holes. The draft is all about getting value at the pick, and the Jets have done very well in this area.
Geno Smith should sit a year I'm okay with this pick but we will ruin Geno's development if he starts off the bat. We have no offensive playmakers and a pretty weak line. We need to let Garrard or Sanchez start for the year. Next draft we can get our offensive weapons and 2014 will be the year of Geno's debut. I'm worried that Woody will want him to start right now (for the excitement, of course.) In my opinion, that would be a terrible idea.

well, bye bye sanchez unless he can have a miracle year, geno smith will be groomed to either take over next year or end up starting by the end of the season. sanchez will be thrown to the lions so to speak and given a chance to resurrect his career by gaining interest from another team. his time on the jets is over barring a great season.
We had very low chance for those guys anyway. You have to be really bad for a year to get a freebie franchise shot and nobody in the Jets management structure is going to let that happen. It just isn't going to happen. MM has a QB to work with now long-term. It's a good thing.
how is it possible to be a bigger disaster then sanchez? mark was the worst qb in football over the past 4 seasons and killed our cap. unless geno smith kills mangold/couples/wilkerson in drunk driving accident he cant be a bigger disaster then sanchez.
