It would make zero sense to give Woodson reps over a young guy with where we're at so, no.

  2. I think the jets may platoon one spot between Allen & Bush. Allen shown some things as a run defender/blitzer while Bush has been pretty good as a center fielder. They'll game plan accordingly. Maybe one of them steps up & becomes a full time starter.

I could see that. Though you need another guy, and Elam makes sense. Leonhard does too, but at this point Elam is more athletic.

    Something we agree on here!

Leonard or Elam both are good cheap options. Although Elam is more athletic, Leonard would come cheaper and he already knows Rex's system. That experience alone could be enough to make his signing worth while. However, I'd take either one at this juncture.

After rewatching some of Woodson's safety play from last year, I sort of recant what I said about signing him. That is, unless he signs for veteran minimum. Especially if Revis gets shipped off, the defensive backfield needs a vocal leader. I know Cromartie is there, but I'd like another solid vet to mentor those guys (Leonard would also do the trick. Elam sure has been around the block as well.).

I'd rather sigh the other Landry, or draft Matt Elam in the second round.

There is a lot of depth at Safety in this years draft class. The jets can find someone in rounds 2-3 that should be able to start immediately. It is a very good year to draft a safety.

Woodson has never played for Rex, so it'd be more like Allen/Bush telling Woodson where to line up.

But having an old guy back there might be good.....Cromartie could drop his kids off at 'Grandpa Woods' house after practice on nights he's going clubbing.

And Woodson played at a much higher level than Bray Bray. Besides, 30 isn't particularly young for a WR. I will give you that Braylon is younger. I just think it's funny that some people yell about getting younger and not signing aging vets, then they say they want Braylon. Not pointing any fingers.

No. And what makes you think he would want to come here?
    Money/contender. We offer neither.

As others have said, the percentages in developing a 36 year old safety while you are rebuilding are low. The only way you sign Woodson is if you get the notion that you have lightning in a bottle and need the capper and he's cheap.
