considering morningwig has seen him up close, i would rest easy knowing they weren't interested.

So I guess Sanchez's best competition during camp will be a 35 year old wash up who hasn't started a game in 2 years

Whatever, this is the last year of the Rex era anyway.

Kolb would have represented a modest upgrade over what we presently have.
I don't think we need to pull our hair out about him signing with Buffalo.

I hope not, I would hate to see what the defense looks like w/out Rex Ryan manning the ship. Rex and MM would be a good pairing.

    The bills got kevin kolb!

    http://m.nfl.com/news/0ap1000000156120/bills-closing-in-on-contract-to-land-former-cardinals-qb-kolb/

The quarterback-needy Buffalo Bills have found another arm.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Saturday that the Bills are finalizing a deal with Kevin Kolb, according to a source with knowledge of the negotiations.

ESPN's Adam Schefterfirst reported the news on Kolb, who was released earlier this month by theArizona Cardinals.

Rapoport reported Friday that the Bills had reached out to Kolb and his agent Jeff Nalley to investigate where the six-year veteran was physically and mentally after two injury-prone seasons in Arizona.

Kolb landing in Buffalo takes the New York Jets out of the picture. The Oakland Raiders reportedly also had eyes for Kolb, but they're mired in trade talks with the Seattle Seahawks for the rights to Matt Flynn.

Kolb makes sense for the Bills. He won't cost Buffalo draft picks, and his price tag won't come anywhere close to the five-year, $60 million-plus deal he signed with the Cardinals in 2011. Kolb's stock has plummeted over the past two seasons, and he's no sure bet to win a starting job with the Bills.

Kolb will compete with Tarvaris Jackson, Aaron Corp and very likely a developmental passer from next month's draft for the chance to replace Ryan Fitzpatrick in coach Doug Marrone's offense. Predicting Kolb's career arc has always been unpredictable --his future in Buffalo is anyone's guess.

A similar argument can be made that Andy Reid, based on the insight from his own "scouting report" decided to promote his untried QC & QB coach to KC's OC, leaving MM behind and jobless.

The deal is incentive based, which is nice for the Bills. Up to $13 million over 2 years if he reaches all the incentives. Nice to have another option at a nice price.

Bills pay 13 million on a 2 year deal. Too high a price IMO.

What is going to change for Kolb in Buffalo? If he couldn't hold the Cardinals job with Larry Fitzgerald as an asset how is he going to make a real difference for Buffalo?

Hate to break it to you but Garrarrd is washed up, sure he is decent when he can stay on the field but he is old and cant take hits. His day in the sun is over, He is a few years away or one more hit away from retirement

Kolb is what he is. Whether he is a big upgrade over Sanchez, I don't know.

It's a smart move by the Bills though. It gives them a lot more flexibility in the draft.

It's being reported ad 13 million is the 'max'. There's apparently performance bonuses in there. If a guy achieves performance bonuses, it's generally worth it.

Kolb is worthless. I could tell right away in Philly he was pathetic. Glad that trash isn't in NY.

    First, Kevin Kolb is garbage.

Second, the Bills are garbage and have been for years.

Third, stop acting like it's the end of the world every time the Jets don't end up signing someone.
