I don't think so. There aren't any QBs in this draft that I think are worth taking , and with such other glaring needs our draft picks are better spent elsewhere.
Our Next QB will come next year by way of Draft/trade/FA....hopefully.
Who knows, maybe Sanchez finally gets it.

As soon as MS confidence went and the fans turned on him, he became 100 times worse. Taking another QB high in the draft and putting Gang Greens weight on his shoulders is not a great idea , once bitten.....

I really would be happy if we didn't draft a QB either at all or much later say from round 4.

How do you know we'll be in position to draft a QB and I think personally that Barkley is worth the risk if you develop him right

Barkley is 100x the QB Sanchez is/was, he's a prototype QB everything we need in a WCO

It never hurts to scout him out. Maybe he drops to round 3, you never know. Better to be prepared.

Drafting a Sanchez "clone" yeah that's a great idea. This franchise should not draft a QB this high. Look at how the fans turned on Sanchez. We really don't deserve one right now. Coming out of the draft, Mark was more talented, more athletic and to be honest he had more upside. I'd rather wait until the right opportunity arises maybe next season to draft a QB. Or draft one late this draft like a Renfree.

This fanbase would eat Barkley alive before he takes a snap

I wouldn't mind this move at all actually. Yes we have needs on the defensive side of the ball, but Rex has a way of developing talent. He can find someone in the later rounds that may be raw, but could develop in his system nicely.

I never was very high on Barkley until I started re-watching his highlight tapes. Guy has pure talent. Whether it translates to a franchise QB or not, no one will know right now, but why not take the gamble. Mark Sanchez showed promise with talent around him, but his mental issues took the best of him. The other thing we have to take into account is that if we were to grab Barkley, he would be looked upon by MM. Not Schitty. He would also be under David Lee. MM and Lee could develop him into a STRONG WCO type QB.

If he's there, take the flyer. We DESPERATELY need a QB

Take him at 9. If he shits the bed, our 2014 draft pick will be high. Take another QB in 2014 LOL

We need to find our answer at QB. This franchise won't be touching a superbowl in a long time if we don't find the answer.

The Jets need a playmaker with the #9 pick not a project, I don't understand how hard that is to understand for this fan base.

If you are going to root for Barkley to be picked because we have a new OC and a good QB coach, then that's more reason to keep MS as your QB and have those guys work with him....and get him some weapons.

Barkley or any QB that plays for the Jets need weapons on offense, I will repeat this again, whether its MS, Barkley or any other QB that plays for the Jets, they need playmakers, or it will be a repeat of last year on offense.

If we grab Fred Davis, we could have some nice weapons. Fred Davis, Goodson, McKnight, Powell, Hill, Kerley, Holmes. If we also were able to snag a WR in second round, we could be set.

I think McKnight is still going to have more of an impact on ST, Powell is okay, he can make some plays but does not have breakaway speed, which a RB should have in the NFL.

Goodson is still an unknown, Hill is still a work in progress, Holmes and Kerley can be productive.

The online still needs to be solidified and I do think we need a better RB, Christine Michael or Gio Bernard.

We need another big wide receiver, someone who comes from a school where they actually have a pass first offense.

i do think barkely may be a boom/bust guy. thats just a gut. he is either gonna be very good or very bad. i do not think he lingers as a competent back up/occasional starter material that gets scooped up in need.

i think i wrote this before - there would be an epic meltdown if they did take bark at 9. oh man it would be great.

    LOL

    That was a joke haha

According to what we all have been seeing, we are either blowing a smoke screen or we are looking to grab a QB in this draft to work on.

How bad would it suck if he was available at 9 and we didn't take him and then he turns into a bad ass NFL qb LOL

I know this applies to all, but man we have needed a QB so bad. This would SUCK
