He's better than Schillens and younger than Braylon. I'd love to bring Braylon back AND sign Gibson. Dunno what he'll get on the open market though.
@MMehtaNYDN: Jets wasting little time to bring in free agents. WR Brandon Gibson will visit Florham Park tomorrow, per sources. #nyj
his stats are nothing special, i guess he is just for depth here take a look. I wish we had some real cap space, we havent had a eventful free agency in years http://www.nfl.com/player/brandongibson/81288/careerstats
Yep...Bring back Braylon for vet minimum w/incentives. No need to break the bank for any of these 2nd tier guys.
Not really, nfl.com has him as the 4th best available receiver behind Mike Wallace, Danny Amendola and Gregg Jennings. We def. could have used him. FUCK the phins for taking Keller too.
Man the Dolphins are stacked all of a sudden, Keller,Gibson,Wallace,Elerbe,Wheeler. They always play us tough but now they are actually much better then us and they havent even drafted yet
I wouldn't call them stacked LOL Wallace is coming off a terrible year and that was with Roethlisberger throwing to him. Keller is a terrible blocker, but could be something special in a WCO. Elerbe has played 4 seasons and has recorded 1 INT and 1 forced fumble. Gibson has never touched near 1000 yards and has a high of 5 TD's in one season. Wheeler has 5 sacks in his career and 0 INT's with 4 forced fumbles. He jumped from Indy to Oakland and now is in Miami. All the guys they signed are above average at best. Keller never became something great, Wallace is the third or fourth highest paid receiver now (which is no where near that high in talent), Elerbe signed a monster contract for someone who hasn't had much of any production. I think they are just signing everyone they see in hopes of making a splash. Ireland is on a contract year. He's doing anything to retain his job. Something tells me they tank next season anyways LOL
They still have other guys like Cameron Wake,Brian Hartline, and tannehill will probably be alot better, its def gonna be intresting to see what they will look like. We have never swept the Fins in the Rex era. Yea stacked was def a reach but they still have more overall talent then we currently do
Yes, they have more overall talent right now, but free agency is not over and the draft has not happened yet. Miami will be a "better" team. They still will be an average team. Tannehill is not a for sure thing and they lost 2 HUGE guys in Long and Sean Smith. They have no blind side tackle as of right now. They got rid of their other LB's and signed a couple "iffy" guys at huge contracts. I wouldn't be so worried. After this draft, Rex will have the pass rusher he needs. With Cro playing at the level he is at and whoever we go with on the other side, we will be fine. Our seconday was awesome last year with absolutely zero pass rush. Imagine now with a guy like Jarvis Jones. Cro has a history of owning Wallace. I am not worried about him at all
Well that's looking at everything in a negative light lol it's clear the sleelers as a whole decline and it didn't help wallace's number missing all of training camp, wheeler also wasn't my favorite signing but he is one of better blitzing OLB in the league last season, and elerbe showed what he got after finally getting a chance to start last year (I know raven fans that knew he had talent before tho), and keller won't be asked to block in this offense anyway as expected, last and not least gibson capping at 5 TDs and never reaching 1000 yards is to be expected as a 3rd WR right? He had 600+ yards and 5TDs last year and he will be our 4th WR. #Positivelight
The first bold is the answer to the 2nd bold, and no one is mad about losing sean smith, no one lol. Dansby and Burnett had worse contracts btw. Dansby alone was going to be a 11 mil cap hit and he's going to be 33 years old
