    sonofabitch!

sigh... we better make a splash in the draft, or at least get another worth while FA, who's available at safety?

I love how people are reacting to this like it is a surprise.

The guy was out visiting other teams. How many players go around from team to team in talks about contracts, yet sign back with their previous team? LOL

    Blow it all up baby!!

Damn, makes me sad. We really need a tremendous draft.

Good move for us...Landry's a health liability and is a step slow in covering TEs and we should get a 3rd or 4th round pick in compensation.

I was expecting it... but still. Our secondary is going from first to worst in 1 off-season.

It's unfortunate but Landry was a wash for a rebuilding team. Excellent value for next year and probably 2014 but he's 30 then and he has the achilles history. I understand the Jets not being willing to commit $14M to him at this point.

Most likely a 4th. Like I said, a great draft is needed.

I wouldn't say that. But you probably right. They are making 0 attempt to re sign anyone. Looks like there going to thrown in the towel.

With Antwan Barnes and Victor Butler possible signings for the Jets, we should be taking a safety in the first few rounds.

I like both Barnes and Butler, they would fill in the OLBs needs. Unless Jones is there at 9, I'm fine with these two starting.

What safety can we get in the first 3 rounds? Preferably 3rd or a second 2nd rounder if we get a trade off.

After the 2011 offseason, I thought Safety was one of our weakest positions. We fixed it in 2012 with Bell and Landry. Now we have to start over. I really hope we do not trade Revis, or else our secondary will be completely depleted.

While I'm pissed, at this point I'd lean towards throwing in the towel. Hate to be a mediocre 8-8, 9-7 team.

    Start over.

I would rather sign no one than over-sign (and overPAY) free agents like Tanny loved to do. You can't build through free agency. Super Bowl teams build through the draft.
