Junc, playoffs don't matter if our QB isn't helping us get there. What good is Sanchez's lack of TO in the playoffs if he turns it over so much we can't there? The first step is Sanchez improving his regular season play. Without that improving, all playoff talk will remain hypothetical and never come to fruition.

That's great ... But here's the problem ... there's a whole thing called a regular season that happens before you ever get to the playoffs. And in the NFL, it usually takes more than six or eight wins, and less than 25 turnovers to get there.

Mark is not a better QB ... and it's not even close.
Aside from your blind support of Sanchez, what could possibly make you think he's a better QB? There's no aspect of quarterbacking where Sanchez has the edge over Garrard.

    Big arm? No.
    Big body? No.
    Accuracy? No.
    Scrambling ability? No.
    Ball Security? GOD NO.

The guy with the better numbers is the better player. That's pretty much how it works. If Rex really does want to give the Jets "the best chance to win", Sanchez will be holding a clipboard on opening day.

Actually there is one area where Sanchez has had the career edge ... durability. And that's unfortunate for all of us.

Houston was one of the better games he played last year. We call those types of things aberrations.

He completed 54 pct on 450 attempts, in a shit offense with. Rap skill players.

30 more completions...(less than 2 a game) puts him at 60pct...which is where he needs to be.

That and shifting some of those throws down and inside, to clarify the decision making and that's where you want to be.

There were numerous instances of players allowing the DB to get inside on the ball, and drops to account for that, as well as his own mistakes.

IMO, this could be our best option this year.

suckchise, the turnover machine, has no edge over mcelroy, let alone garrard.

if philly was to trade for revis, i would be happy going into the regular season with garrard, mcelroy, and foles. i'd cut suckchise on 12:01am of june 1st.

I see us moving him on trade day, but we could cut him prior to june 1st and still take advantage of the june 1st rule.

since we are at 284 pages already, let's remane it in honor of a long thread that used to run in the b.s. forum. we can't reference the immortal buttfumble, so........

in honor of the turnover machine, we can call it the hot picks thread.

Sanchez won 30 games in his first 3 seasons. ( 1 of 5 to ever get there)

    Fitzpatrick started 3 in Buffalo...won 19.

If you think Fitzpatrick could even sniff....let alone carry Sanchez jock, you're daft.

There's a reason Fitzpatrick was a journeyman, before buffalo ga e him 50 mil for winning 6 games.

That alone should tell you about Buffalos judgment....(and yours;)

    No edge over McElroy?

Athleticism...experience..Arm Stregnth..decision Making..(remind me again how many Sacks GMac took because he couldn't read the field in his lone start. What was it....11?)

For all your criticism of Me, Junc and the rest giving Sanchez a break...at least we, unlike you with that statement...have not descended beyond Parody.

Next you'll be bringing back Ryan Leaf.

No, but CMon Man...Fitzpatrick is one of 10 QBs in the league worse performing than Sanchez.

    3500 yards, 24 TD's - Fitzpatrick

    2800 yards, 13 TD's - Sanchez

I am not a stat guy, but Fitzpatrick will thrive in a WCO due to his intelligence, which is Sanchez's greatest weakness.

However, I am daft, so take it with a grain of salt.

Yeah, that's how he won 19 games in three years running Chan Gaileys horizontal shoot drop oriented offenses.

    With more Skill position players.

You said he was 10th worst than Sanchez in performance, right?

I am sure it probably had nothing to do with their putrid defense.
