that release was going to happen regardless, but i do think the Jets are making cap room to trade him ... Would be funny to pick up nnamdi on the cheap after trading revis and watch rex use him correctly.
They're dumping a contract that was a mistake from the moment they signed it two years ago. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Eagles wind up with Revis. They really like CB's there and they've been moderately disappointed with the guys they brought in to be the #1 over the years. Samuel, DRC and Asomugha have all let them down in some ways. I'm thinking Revis is the guy who if healthy will not let them down. I'll bet they're thinking that way also.
i think a lot of teams realize that it's crazy to tie-up a huge portion of their cap in one player. football is the more team-oriented pro sport, and many teams are realizing that a team full of 7s playing well together is better than one 10 and a bunch of 4s and 5s. in baseball or basketball, a team needs a superstar or three...but in the nfl it's more about the team...particularly on defense.
lol, would be really ironic. I'd take Nnamdi if on the cheap.....but that guy has never been on the cheap.
You get the feeling that today is the day. I would think about Nnamdi. The Eagles owe him 4 mill so maybe the Jets can get him for naother 3mill
Jason Cole @JasonColeYahoo Can confirm Tampa Bay is possible landing spot for Revis. SF, ATL, DET also in mix. Miami would love to get him, but Jets won't allow that. Retweeted by Brian Bassett
^^ at least we aren't trading Revis in division. Also looks like all NFC teams being linked to Revis which is even better
Is that the real Schefter? Because in the twitter handle its "AdaRN" and I cant find anything under Schefter's account...?
