Tampa for this year's first, next year's 3rd - escalates to a second if he makes the pro bowl and/or starts 13 games. / bestguess
that last statement is the biggest crock of shit you have spewed in a while. we all felt he was a part of this team. until they pull the trigger on a deal he is part of this team. and we all know he has no desire to leave here, as hes made it very clear that retiring a jet is something he would like. but he would also like to be paid for his ability, and its just not in our interest to pay that kind of money to that position. his agents are also notorious dickheads, so we wont deal with their nonsense at this point. it has less to do with his attitude as a player and more to do with business. hes shrewd, his reps are shrewd. we cant be held hostage by it. but to say as a player he was never a part of this team is just complete bullshit.
Dion Jordan along with Foles in there for QB competition? That is actual value.. Swapping firsts, picking up their second, along with Foles would also be good if the Jets have Jordan ear marked as their guy at OLB.
NFL Network: Just stated Deal in place. It was a cliff hanger, and I will update if they say anything more.
Arching now, they are not talking about it at all. Not to say aces is lying, but at the moment no talk of a deal.
I am just writing what they said. "one report says Jets might have deal in place" I just rewound it since they are talking about the Brown's and confirmed what he said. Take it as a grain of salt.
Totally....I think we are going to hear something today and as early as tomorrow. Just a gut, which obviously means nothing to anyone but just the feeling I have.
Question....if he is traded and the new team gives him an extension, does that impact our cap hit or dead money?
They just talked to the chick covering the Jets, and she didn't say anything about it. Revis still a Jet, is what she said.
Manish has posted a non-story on Twitter http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/jets-ready-deal-revis-rebuild-team-article-1.1285899
It could or it couldn't. Hope that helps. It really depends on the deal that is made in the trade between the Jets and the trading partner.
Tanny is a guest analyst on NFLN right now and he'll be talking about Revis and the Jets in a few mins if anyone is interested.
