    I still say nobody will offer a 1 and a 2.

ATL has SB asperations, but they have 1 corner in Samuel and ZERO pass rush. None. They just released the only guy they had who could put any pressure on. Additionally they have their own FAs to sign (Moore) and will probably be redoing Matt Ryans deal for as much as 140 million.

Let's see here: 2 Holdouts, 2 questionable hammys and a ACL injury. He can walk after this season.

    Hmmmm........

Trade him to the first sucker we can find. What the hell does the best CB help when we need Offense and a pass rusher. Dear god take the picks, don't be stupid Woody.

We can get a number 1 pick for 2014 ie... the better draft.

Lol picks? There is no Lawrence Taylor or Brady in this draft.

And Woody is doing this to be cheap, not to win a super bowl.

Since when does Woody draft players?

Are YOU serious or just being a homer? We have no legit top target WR, our TE1 is walking out the door, we have no RB to lead the charge and current have a guy who looked ok last year and another guy who can't hold onto the football, our LG and RG situation is nothing to be proud of, have giant holes at the safety position, need an OLB (or 2) and have aging NT's outside of Kenrick Ellis...

Oh, not to mention we can't address any of that via FA except some stop gaps because we are cap crippled by bad contracts and have a HC who people are saying is a lame duck, a new OC, new DC, and new STC.

Yeah totally bro. We're real close to contending. Just get a better QB and all is well. We should make sure we keep Revis for 2013 and then watch him walk because we are just a QB away and Revis is the key to our SB run in 2013.

Warder is an idiot. If Darelle makes it too free agency it will be more expensive to get him.
And that's not taking into account that next year he will be cheaper than any of the years that you can sign for.

You don't know whether anything you just stated as a fact is a fact. Thanks for sharing though.

we won't get anything for him now...people are crazy if they think teams gonna give a #1 for him...he's in the last year of his contract, coming off acl surgery with crazy money demands...Jets will be in a stronger position if they ask Revis for a list of teams that he can negotiate with, wait till they see him in the pre-season...

Yeah name the player in this draft that has a chance to be the runner-up Defensive Player of the Year, or a franchise quarterback?

    But thanks for sharing though...

    ?

If he makes it to free agency the Jets get nothing.

He already wants 16 mil per season and has shown a willingness to hold out for what he wants.

Do you really think teams are lining up right now to pay both high draft picks AND the $$$ to get a guy coming off an ACL?

    Come on now.

The more I read and think about this it sounds like the Jets leaked a story to a New York writer in order to create interest where there isn't any (at least for a large package of picks). Both the Falcons and 49ers have stated they have little to no interest.

Now, of COURSE they are posturing as well, but I think you guys are going to have to start getting used to the idea that you aren't going to get what you want in trade.

The contract, the no-franchise clause, the injury, and now the fact that its obvious that the Jets WANT to trade him and are actively shopping him all lower his value.

As a fan, I'd be pissed too.

Have to agree with you there.

Nobody knew Revis was gonna be Revis either.

    It doesn't work that way.

Niners took a possible franchise QB in the 2nd round last year. He was the FIFTH QB selected.

You don't know how those picks will work out.

Name the team that knew Brady was Brady prior to that draft.

Well, if he'd take $12M a year it'd show you that he loves you back.

Otherwise he's just pretending to love you so your rich daddy will pay him.

Even 13M per should have the Jets signing.
If he ends up signing for around that amt somewhere else, and we are left with a 2nd rounder to show for it, i'll be really pissed..

Prepare to be pissed. Although I don't know what the Jets will ultimately get for Revis I don't think there's a market out there for a $14M+ a year CB. Teams making huge commitments to defensive players in free agency have generally been pretty unhappy with the way things turned out.

i hate this " woody is cheap" shit

if woody was cheap how the hell are we cap strapped? seriously, iwant you to explain this. i think a cheap owner would be sitting on a ton of cap room because he doesn't want to pay ANY player.

woody doesn't want to pay revis because history has shown that in 2-3 years what he is making won't be good enough and the team will be held hostage again

10m next year and the number declines a 1M a yr over the next 5. 20M Guaranteed. Injury free incentives. That's what I'd offer him. If not, ill use the extra loot on better free agents.

Roberts and Benigno are clowns. Hate how people say you can't trade him or just sign him without throwing out numbers. This isn't baseball.
