Today I learned that Robin Lehner, Ottawa's star goalie prospect, is the son of Henrik Lundqvist's goaltending coach.
We've beaten the hell out of Tamp three times, clearly we're a bad match-up for them. Nice to see Nash is picking up where he left off but I'm not convinced we've turned the corner yet.
Obviously a different team with Nash in the lineup. and From the way they were talking while he was out, I don't think it's all a result of him just being back on the ice. I think a lot of it was mentally not having his talent in the line up. Pretty great game, especially the start.
Certainly wasn't any of us in here that discounted Nash's talent. And I think the "We-don't-want-you" was more a matter of the enormous price tag that he had at the time last year.
Shots were amazing at one point 20-1, and 30-5, Hank saved the bacon in the 3rd period when it was a two goal game, incredible save on Stamkos's slapper...Nash was all over the ice....
Eminger 4:20, 1 penalty, didn't see the ice in the 3rd period, however he seems to get his shot on net, creating scoring chances..
