New York Rangers @NYRangers The #NYR have assigned forward Chris Kreider to the @CTWhale Just can't let the kid play, did he watch the playoffs last year
Our Head Coach Speaks: " Nash rotated in and out of a four-man unit with Stepan, Carl Hagelin and Ryan Callahan at yesterday’s practice. Stepan skated between Callahan and Taylor Pyatt in Tuesday night’s 4-3 defeat to the Jets, the first time in 13 games Hagelin wasn’t on his port side. “And Step’s line was our best,” Tortorella said. “It generated quite a lot of offense. I’m hoping we can get that from other places.” "
Im at 34000 feet chatting with u idiots. Hackett your last post was retarded. But then again, all your posts are retarded
Why are you incapable of having a discussion about hockey without personally insulting anyone who disagrees with you?
I've changed my stance on Kreider a bit. I was dead set against sending him down, partially because the Rangers need the talent at this level, and partially because I don't think he's been THAT bad. I thought about it a little more though. After hearing about his struggles with the Whale during the lockout, I was a little concerned and I didn't subscribe to the notion that he just "needed to be in the pros." The talent is obviously there. There's no teaching the kind of speed that he has. And he showed that he has great playmaking ability too. I'm on board with giving him some time to develop. After all, that's a massive jump from college to the pros. And I'm not discounting his performance in the playoffs. Obviously he was great, probably the biggest reason the Rangers moved on against Ottawa. I just think he was playing so unconscious of the situation that he was able to do so. Let him spend some time down there and bring him up when he's actually ready.
This is spot. On. Some here would like to blame Torts ut the fact is the kid isnt ready. He doesnt play defense, he takes lazy penalties, hes unsure of his assignments etc. Further....hes not skating!!!!! Look at how he skated in playofs last year. Look how he hit people. That has not been part of his game this year. Its painfully obvious. U think. Torts just benches him because?????
Which was a reply stating that I was some incomprehensible idiot because you failed to understand posts that no one else here seems to have issues understanding?
Krieder is really a hearbreaking story. To think that one year ago, the thought of including him in a trade for Nash was unthinkable. Not only have the Rangers mishandled his development, they have sent his trade value straight down the toilet.
Im not understandibg your disdain for Torts' having anounced how great Callys effort was. And u still havent offered any sensible explanation. Youre a bit emotional. I get it. I was like that when i was 14. Its all good. We both just want the Rangers to win. Cheers
Mishandling his development is a bit premature. I mean the kid hasn't even played 30 games, '12 playoffs included. They're doing the right thing if he stays in Hartford for a convincing amount of time.
I respectufully disagree. When Kreider has the kind of performance he had in last year's playoffs, he sets the expectation that he is ready right now.
