There was also a sporting goods store in the Menlo Mall too... don't remember the name of it and it's gone now also. But they also used to scalp tickets. So I would go in a panic on Saturday if I had tix for Sunday that I knew I wasn't able to use and they would move them for me (or just buy them off me, depending upon how hot the game was).

LOL.... funny how you used to move unwanted tickets in the old days. I used to go to a game with my 4 and it would only be myself and my son, so now I'm walking around the parking lot holding two tickets in the air. You're asking over face but you get real desperate an hour before game time and you blatantly walk around Gate C waving the fucking things. Buyers' market at that point. So now you're risking getting caught violating the law by scalping them right in front of the gate and finally somebody would come along and you tell them $20 each and they offer you $30 for the pair and you move them and go into the stadium.

Oh, the old days. Nothing has changed though. Now you're still moving them at less than face but on StubHub instead. Oh, and you're not subject to arrest, so I guess that part is better.

I don't know about Jersey but it's never been illegal in NY to sell your tickets at face or below in front of a stadium. Think about it...it's not 'scalping' because you're not ripping anyone off.

If I'm not mistaken, there were always signs in front of every gate at Giants Stadium that said, "It is illegal to resell tickets to any event on these premises," or something to that effect (I'm paraphrasing).

I gave one of my employees 4 tickets one time and told him, "If you only go with two, sell two outside, but watch out and do it descretely, and I'll split it with you 'cause I can't move the other two." Well, he gets arrested outside of Giants Stadium and they handcuff him and bring inside Giants Stadium into an "interrogation room." And they grill the shit out of him about "Where did you get these tickets? Did you buy them from the Season Ticketholder?"

So he knew enough that I would lose my tickets if he told him "Yes," so he instead made up some BS story about getting them secondhand off the street or something.

So they released him, but confiscated ALL 4 TICKETS and he never got in to watch the game and never got to sell the other two. And of course, I was out for the whole package.

Herman's? Lol. There was also a ticket place upstairs by the food court. Now you can sell. Not sure of distance restriction. I know Yankee Stadium it's within a certain umber of feet frm the place.

Only good thing about stubhub is if you buy and they are counterfeit you get your money back

Just heard on ESPN radio NFL discussing options in case of storm during next years Super Bowl.
Option A - play on Saturday
Option B - delay game 7 days till the following week.

I agree. I actually wouldn't mind seeing a snowy Super Bowl on television. Most snow games are fun to watch on tv.

I know some of you guys contact the ticket office once in a while. Any word on 2013 ticket prices or when we will get our invoices?

Ok just spoke with the ticket office again. Higher ups are still deciding on pricing of seats. This time last year invoices were out already. Ticket office wa told to tell STH 4-6 weeks from last week is when invoices will be sent out. I'm assuming they are hoping to make a splash in free agency and the draft so people reconsider on keeping their season tix. I informed him of my displeasure in pricing and that I may just cherry pick off stubhub bc I are so much $$ on tix last year bc of the product on the field.

Interesting that they're going to wait to send them out. It was getting earlier and earlier anyway. I don't know how much of a splash they can make that's going to make everything Hunky fucking Dory. I mean, short of bringing in Peyton Manning, Anquan Boldin and every Pro Bowler you can think of, how TF do they think a couple of moves is going to make any difference? And there aren't a hell of a lot of good players willing to come here anymore. The word is out we've got major problems and could be going into "rebuild" mode for the 187th time. Anybody wanting a SB ring is going to say, "Hell no, trade me anywhere but I ain't goin' to no Jets."

There was a product on the field?

The pussies would HAVE TO opt for Saturday b/c putting it off until the following week would put people in fucking bankruptcy if they had to stay in Manhatten for 7 extra days.

But even moving it to Saturday is a stupid fucking idea b/c suppose you get a real fucking winner of a Nor'Easter on Sat morning? If that stadium gets hammered like CT did (38 fucking inches!!!!) you can forget about it.

All this is going to raise holy hell with the ticket prices. This SB the ticket prioces are going to be more unstable than every before in the history of the SB. And the more talk about moving it around like this, the more scared they get people who are going to just say, "You know what? Fuck this. Let's just sit this one out this year and stay home. I ain't payin' no stinkin' $3,000 per seat to get jerked off on game day and freeze my nuts off."

We're doomed. We really did it this time.

We go from "We're goin' to kick their ass" and "We're goin' to the Superbowl" to 6-10 and no QB fix in sight (for openers). Nobody's buying into that anymore. We are really fucked in terms of attracting talent now.

did anyone hear francesser talking about stub hub today. he once again in the 5 minutes i listened proved what a fucking moron he is but someone was talking about baseball maybe not wanting to allow anything but the original tickets for entry. i only caught a couple minutes, was there actually anything to what i heard? like the nfl or whoever he was talking about wanting to not allow stub hub to function the way it currently does.

What is the general sentiment of the STH out there? Are lots of you planning on walking away this year? I have about $6k of $30k into my PSL and I'm seriously considering walking away from it. I still plan on going to games, but at the current performance/pricing, I am able to buy better seats to games in the aftermarket than I am paying full freight and PSL loan payment.

Also looks like people are only getting 75%-80% of their PSLs on the open market.

Most of them are selling for 25% of face value on stubhub. 50% if you're lucky.

I'd bet in the next few months as the invoices come in there will be some for sale for $500 each.
