Is he worth a look. I know nothing about him. Dont' really need anymore idiot thugs on the team but beggars can't be choosers.........
When a guy is that young and supposedly that talented and a team just outrights cuts his ass, that should tell you all you need to know. He's your typical problem child WR. No way. The guy's a total bust. And to think he was drafted ahead of Torrey Smith and Randall Cobb. Two guys who will be making a lot of pro bowls in this league. A big PASS...
let's put it this way.... he has potential but he was released and his team and teammates shit on him because he would line up in the wrong spots and run the wrong routes intentionally just to be near where the ball was going. and this isnt speculation...this came out of his own mouth. I love the upside he brings but goes against everything Idzik seems to want to instill....there is no chance he is signed by the Jets.
Titus told his HS coach that he was better than Calvin Johnson. He has the belief, but does he have the skill? I think not.
Sure but in an offense where Megatron is drawing a double team almost every time. I think the guy is damn talented but he really showed his ass last year in the most unprofessional manner possible. Some desperate team with a lame duck HC or GM will pick him up
i'd give him a shot but he needs to be on team with a no nonsense coach. i don't think rex jets would be the best fit.
Sadly, Titus would be our second best receiver on this team with a healthy Holmes. He has a great amount of talent/potential. As everyone has already stated, he's a basket case. Problems with the law, fights with teammates, etc. If this was the Jets of '09/'10 with solid veteran leadership that could put him in place, I'd sign him in a heartbeat. Now? Probably not.
Exactly. Talent doesn't always matter when there are big attitude problems. Just ask Vernon Davis who didn't pull half the crap this guy did. For so many reasons, the Jets simply cannot bring Titus Young here. He needs a presently stable organization with a true and tried systematic approach to operating. The Jets are not that team, have an unstable QB situation, and their league image is that of a joke. We can stop talking about Titus Young to Jets now, because there is simply a 0% chance we sign him.
