He is a very fast player and could cost a good bit but would be very much worth it he has a bleak future with the Steelers and would be a great addition to the ex-steeler Holmes. I think if we have the money after re-signing players we should address our WR problem in FA instead of the draft. Thoughts ..?
Some kind of negotiation could do the trick. He seems worth trying to flirt with he has a good WCO type style psychically
I don't see how we could afford him. He's an exciting player but bringing back Braylon, trying to develop Hill, and possibly drafting another WR in the mid to late rounds seems entirely more realistic.
According to the 2nd best receiver on our team, this is EXACTLY the type of move we HAVE to make....unless we don't care if teams we face think our offense is a complete joke. edit: maybe we could trade Cromartie for him straight up...how funny would that be!
The guy's stock dropped this year as he struggled with dropped balls. He's homerun or bust. Overrated for the money he wants. Also an attitude problem. Pass...
I agree 100% ... and besides all that ... what would make anyone think that Wallace would ever want to come HERE?? I'm sure he'll have plenty of better options.
I would say Titus Young too if not him... But you get a worse deal with the attitude and that's the last thing the jets need but the kid is young and productive
The upcoming draft is thick with receiver talent in rounds 2 and 3. I would rather pay a rookie salary to a draft pick as opposed to a free agent salary to Wallace. Been there. Done that.
The cash is a little tight these days Not to mention wallace disappears during games, kinda like the last receiver we acquired from Pittsburgh...
Get Mike Wallace on here with an average QB (matt moore/ Jason Campbell), and a 2nd round RB (Jawan/Stepfan/Gio) and 1st round OLB (Jarvis Jones), and I would be ecstatic. This Jets team could actually resemble a good NFL team
Honestly wouldn't mind him one bit. But 1st will the ravens give their. #1 WR up and if so ... How much ?
