The way i saw it.. QB play, winning the trenches, and good defense still wins championships. It's been the formula for as long as i can remember, and i'm glad it really hasn't changed.
If were to single out a couple guys in particular, Flacco never turned the ball over in the playoffs and Boldin made a ton of clutch grabs in their run.
Hats off to the Ravens, and a solid effort by the 49ers. With the way Kaepernick is playing along with that D, i think they will be in the conversation again in the upcoming years.

I've been getting really depressed during the post game festivities in recent years, wondering when it's gonna be our time. I'm still young, and the sheer unpredictability of the NFL dictates I'll probably see a Jets super bowl win eventually (Think about how Saints fans felt prior to 2009, they probably never thought their team was going to win throughout the previous decades of misery), but it's still depressing seeing other teams win every year!

once we get a good qb, anything is possible. the ravens and 49ers have qb's. we don't so it starts there. our defense is good, we just need to continue to build on what we have already. hopefully in 2 or 3 years we are playing and winning the super bowl.

Different teams are there almost every year. How many people expected before the season for the Seahawks to even be close? That's how it works. The chance of any one team doing it is very low, but it can happen. It ain't easy. Last year's Super Bowl was much more depressing. This game was awesome and fun to watch except for that conveniently timed power outage that changed the momentum. The Jets will get their day in the sun. Hey at least they've won once. There are plenty of teams that haven't won ever and a few that have never even made it. The Jets are halfway there. They have a very good defense, and just need to retool the offense.

We need a new HC too. Both of the Harbaughs are very good coaches. Rex would have choked.

depressed but not anything like what may be lurking for us next february.....

imagine the rival giants in there, at home, next year.

they sure are miles ahead of the jets and, IMO, can easily contend for the game.

    now that would be depressing

felt bad for the niners, they were certainly the better team and but for some dumb mistakes at the start and some incredible catches by Boldin they would have taken the game comfortably. crazy how these matches always seem to come down to a couple of critical plays.

If the Jets had a good (not necessarily great) QB then we could be right in the mix.

I feel like we're a good QB and few key pieces away from being back to 09/10 status. All can be handled this off-season is we strike gold at QB in my eyes

Maybe you should stop deep throating things & you'll speak alittle bit clearer. Pretty "Ahem" pathetic that you have to come on a Jets board to boost your "Ahem" ego.

People complaining about Qb would be the same people trying to run Flacco out of town. How good do you think Flacco would be throwing to the Jets receivers?

If Flacco developed at the same pace he did in Baltimore, with the Jets then he wouldn't be ran out of town.

For that matter how good do you think Kap would be without Moss, Craptree, Davis, Gore and one of the best olines in Football.

The only depressing thing to watch was two teams slightly built like us in 2009-2011 getting ridiculously good play from their youngish QBs. Besides that, since we were out of it middle of the season and NE/Pitt wasn't involved, a good SB to watch.

This was two games rolled into one due to the blackout. The niner's looked exactly the same against ATL as they did last night. The 2nd half, you saw a completely different 49'er team and had they showed up in the 1st half, they would be champs this morning.

I don't understand the mentality of Jet fans depressed about watching the SB. That is, assumingly, what the Jets are striving to get to and win. Its not like we're used to going to the big game because frankly, what we're used to ain't worth mentioning in the grand scheme of things.

We need to stop settling for AFCCG and 8-8 seasons. We need to raise the bar and accept nothing less than greatness. If Mediocre is all we strive for, then that's what we'll get and that's what we deserve.

Since the Jet's SB.....every team has made a SB appearance except for Browns (Expansion Team 99), Jaguars (Expansion Team 95), Texans (Expansion Team 02), and the Lions....

    hahahaha.....horrible

Yes he would have he was getting flak in Baltimore image what it would have been like in NY? Take away Rice and Bold in how good is Flacco then? He would have been run out of NY two years ago.

One big difference though they have play makers on offense outside the Qb and very good olines. When the Jets had playmakers and good oline they went to two AFC championship games.

Sanchez deserves his share of blame but change out the offense of roster with the jets roster except qb both of them are bottom in the league.
