Only the rich guy is going to be able to afford NYC, the fans will be stuck in Newark and Secaucus and they will pay $600 a night. There is no cool places to hang in Northern NJ, its not exactly New Orleans. Manhattan is for the media and corporate America. Right up Woody's ally, his people. Should be a fuck fest for our owner, his people and some riff raff Mara lets in. I hope its the worst Super Bowl ever, the whole week and day game is a mess. I can't wait!!!!!!!! Who needs a dome, right fellas
Yeah, I just don't get it. Where are all these people going to be hanging out? Some sleazy motel lobby on Rte. 1 in Elizabeth? It's either that or bite the bullet and go into Manhatten and good luck with that. They'll get hit so damned hard in the wallet they'll never wnat another SB here again. They'll be sending out reviews like, "So how did you like the SB here in the Meadowlands?" and people will be rating it a #10 "Worst fucking SB I've ever been to." LOL I mean, this isn't Tampa, NO, Miami, SF, or southern CA. There's no pedestrian place to go in north Jersey and you certainly don't want to stay in downtown Elizabeth, Linden, Jersey City or whatever. So NY is the only place to hang, really. And the hotels have probably already blocked off their calendars with double prices on everything. You won't get out of town without dropping $5,000 and that doesn't even cover the tickets or travel!
I hope its 2 warm weather goober cities that make it, the kinda fans that would avoid NYC in the winter at all costs. I would love to see tickets on stubhub game day for regular price because of the weather and the matchup. There are so many delicious things that could go wrong. If the Giants make it, then all bets are off, it would be insane and as Jet fans would we feel worse then a Giants/Pats Super bowl. It would be the final straw for me, I would blame woody for letting it happen.
I'm not incorrect. You are. You made this statement: "U must have missed it they already announced that is there plan which includes the UDeckers also." This is incorrect and you are incorrect. There is no plan for Upper Deck Season Ticketholders to be offered SB tickets of any kind. If this is the case, please correct me and I'll stand corrected. But my distinct recollection was that this was one of Woody's thumbscrews with the people who refused the PSLs: The inability to pass down your season tickets, no entrance to the SB lotteries and the Orange parking fuckaround. At no time did I ever expect to be in the SB lottery if we had a SB here. It was one of the things we had to give up. And WTF, pray tell, is a NYJ blurp?
Super Bowl Sunday in East Rutherford is rain with a mix of snow high of 37 low of 23. So 630pm start sun set at 450pm. Yeah lots of people will be in the Clubs. Also Super Bowls usually have a tailgate fest bc tailgating is prohibited at the SB. Imagine the type of people going and I don't see them as the cold weather type.
Windiest place on earth with no cover from the elements, miles from nowhere next to Xanadu, the ugliest building in the country, with no other views except barren swamplands and nothing within walking distance except concrete ramps and two feet of mud under your feet. The alternative is the old Milford Plaza in NYC with rates jacked up from $600 per night to $1150, featuring a "Continental Super Bowl Breakfast" of orange juice, cereal and muffins for only $129 per person.
I am not sure what all the fuss is about,,,,,I am sure they will put up some lovely tarps to block out the elements
http://www.newyorkjets.com/tickets-and-stadium/ticket-holder-benefits.html#pricing-table Link that mentions Super Bowl.
So of u buy 2013 season tickets u are entered into a lottery. Doesn't specify PSL like it DID when the 2010 season rolled around.
Maybe Woody is softening up on this now as an inducement to sign up again, like he did with the parking?
All I see when I click that link is a referee saying PAGE NOT FOUND. You obviously still fail at the internet.
This table would imply that all STHers get access to SB tickets because there's no qualifier otherwise. But if this is true, it's a change in policy and not what was originally touted to everyone who didn't buy the PSLs. If UDers are now included in the pool (on an equal basis), when did the organization make this change and why weren't we notified? Also, a bigger issue is, wouldn't this now "water down" a PSLers SB ticket rights? Didn't the PSL purchaser buy his PSL with this as an incentive to do so? And so now, wouldn't he have a case if this has now opened up to everyone and his chances have thus been diminished? Putting this on their website is another can of worms for them.
In regards to the windy stadium, my Giant friend who sits in the LL 20yd. line home team side said for the last Giant game, the wind was so terrible at the seat that people were leaving. It was not even windy in the lot or on the field, but at the seats, it was ridiculously windy and cold. I don't ever remember wind at my seat in Giant Stadium ever and now look at it. Love those Louvers Woody. Hope for the same thing next Feb. I can see Bloomberg sitting in the elements for maybe 5 minutes. I pray for the middle of the field seats in the first 2 levels being empty with all the suits hiding form the elements.
I think the PSL owner is entered in the Super Bowl lottery if the JETS make it. And the upper deck is not. This is bc we are the semi host stadium so rules are different. After next years Super Bowl it will probably go back to PSL owners only will be in the SB lottery IF THE JETS MAKE IT.
The best seats I ever had at any sporting event was my Mezz Row 5's. We were stuck up tight under that overhang and just beyond where, if it rained even with a wind blowing in our direction, you didn't get wet. The first 4 rows could get a little wet, but it stopped at the 5th row. It broke my heart to see that great-shaped, football-designed stadium come down. Not a bad seat in the whole place. NYJs should have bought it from the state and renovated it and let the Giants gft.
