You're fucking great man. So consistent. So consistently delusional. I feel bad for you that you level of expectations are so low that you are about one of five posters that will defend Sanchez here.

Sure, pick out 2 games this year. Thats fuckin great. Im sure you just keep watching those games over and over. What about the other 14 games this season? What about those games where he was THE worst QB in the NFL? Go back and watch those games and give us some outlook on those.

Im sure any horrible QB can put together 2 good games vs shitty opponents in a season. Shit, Vince Young looked like a star in some games... Im sure Ryan Leaf, Matt Leinart, and Jamarcus Russel even had a few decent performances.

I've responded to your posts a few times asking you just one simple question that you should be able to answer, since you believe it to be so true- Why should Mark Sanchez improve (enough to be a capable starter) with the switch to the WCO?

I would really like to see you response... I mean I asked this last time and you told me "what do you know about footwork or stfu"

If you cant answer this competently I truly dont see why you have the right to keep posting your nonsense on this topic- you are basically just trolling.

Or it could've been that Vinny was on the NFL's biggest joke of a franchise..... a 1-15 team that lived in the cellar for a decade.

The 2 cases are not comparable, other than not living up to expectations..... and both wearing JETS jerseys at one point in their careers, other than they are both "live by the sword....." type players, but Sanchez's physical stature, especially arm is not in Vinny's area code.
The big play swagger (pulling shit out his ass) was what Sanchez seemed to have going for him, but unfortunately it seems to have been flushed away. There is a miniscule chance he can regain that swagger (doubtful with this team) but I don't see him as the timing WCO QB....... Vinny wasn't either.

    :shit: :jets:

As another poster pointed out...MM took Vick up 10 points. I only said half.

I'd also point out that the other Jets QBs under Schitty improved under other OCs about 10 points.

Sanchez, WITH HIS ARM brought the Jets back, against Mannin, against Brady, under two of the worst OCs in fucking football.

Answer my question...how can you make an accurate assessment without giving the man a decent coach?

And Junc listed about 7 games...I listed the two where the staff used the routes he'd be asked to throw.

    Baltimore was a joke?

    Interesting observation.

If it was even worthy f being called that.

The only common thing was where the ball was ASKED to be thrown.

And your last sentence says you don't grasp the Weiss nuances of the Erhardt offense...

Go touch yourself, put me on ignore, and. Won't look for you to admit the obvious week 6.

LOL! you want to compare career paths..... you may want to consider that I was referencing the team that drafted him and who he was playing with at the same point in their careers........ the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS!

You see this whole argument when you bring Vinny in to compare to Sanchez is rather foolish when you look at it closely.

Vinny played for the jets for 6 seasons, He joined the Jets at age 35. So lets start off with just the assumption that Vinny Totally sucked before joining the Jets and totally rocked after becoming a Jet, are you really willing to wait 10 more years for Sanchez to reach that level, hey I'm not the one that made the initial comparison, but if we're going to make comparisons at least keep them in context.

Secondly, even assuming the argument held any validity, it took Him changing teams not once, Not twice, But 3 times before he finally "hit his stride".

I've seen Hobbes use the before joining the Jets he threw too many interceptions.
I would like to point out that Vinny started 3 seasons as the starting QB, over the course of his career he had 4 seasons with 20 or more interceptions, 1 of those 4 came in one of the 3 years as a Jet.

I do find it funny when people try to say "but Vinny became good" yes, on his 4th team and at age 35ish, and then only for 2 seasons.

Fact is you can go through the history of the NFL and just about every QB had one or two decent years if they stuck around long enough...But the fact is an average NFL season for a lot of QB's is a career year for them.

The problem with Jets fans in general is they've come to accept Mediocrity as being exceptional in QB play over the years.

yes, when Vinny was in Baltimore they were a joke, The two years he was there Baltimore was 4-12 and 6-9-1....not exactly winning records there. They didn't become a winning team until 2000. But I think he was referring to 6 years with Tampa Bay during which time the Bucs over those 6 years never had a winning record and won as many as 6 games once. He did have one winning season out of the 3 spent with the Browns. In fact until he came to the jets he'd only been on one team with a winning record and then only for 1 season out of 11 seasons. He did have a winning record for 4 seasons as a Jet, but then again one of those seasons he was injured and it was Ray Lucas who won most of the games that season...in other words the Jets of that period were a pretty good team that even without Testeverde was an 8-8 team with Ray freaking Lucas as the QB.

it's so funny to see people try to use vinny as a comparison point for Sanchez.

Evidence has been posted, repeatedly showing how inadequate Sanchez is, take your own advice, read the box scores and the play by play. good luck with that.

Then defend schottys body of work.

My contention, is that it was the coaching, not the player...

If you contend it's the player...

    Defend the coach.

A product is the sum of its parts. Mark Sanchez isn't bad enough that he'd stop a good team from winning. Mark Sanchez isn't good enough that he'd win with a bad team.

No. It hasn't neither Junc or myself...ever refuses an argument. It's you guys that are too lazy to pride examples.

    Post them.

If you've posted them repeatedly....copy them or admit to lying, or stfu.

Okay so your argument is based off the assumption that he's going to improve because a few other's have also? It may be just me, but thats not going to convince me at all. In terms of his skill set, strengths and weaknesses I dont see how this benefits him. Like I've pointed out before, the WCO requires strengths that Sanchez does not have (at least now, or in the past) such as- anticipation, good footwork, quick decision making and getting through progressions and very good accuracy within 15 yards. He has regressed big time in those aspects. His short accuracy is amongst the worst in the league, he locks onto receivers and struggles to still read defenses after 4 years, lacks good anticipation ect.

I mean sure, because Mike Vick played better (albeit for only a year), Sanchez could become better. I just dont buy it. His play certainly does not warrant a starting spot, but sadly his salary does. Personally, I could care less about someone's salary- you play the person who deserves the spot through his play.

You and Junc name either games 3 years ago or bits and pieces of his last two seasons to support your argument. He is a different player than he was 3 years ago. Its fact. Look up your stats from NFL.com or watch games. He may have had a few decent to good games over that last two seasons, but they are certainly few and far between. He's not only a different player, but he's a different person in terms of mentality- in 2010 he was a young confident growing player while now he's lost all confidence and has regressed consistently.

You know, I hope Sanchez turns into a franchise QB... I really do. What do I think the possibility is that that happens? ABout 5%. If you dont have a franchise QB, you have a problem at the position. I would say there's a 95% chance we dont have a franchise QB... So we have a major problem.

And to provide examples because you obviously dont want to accept them:

    14. The number of times Sanchez has completed under 55% over the last 2 years.
    18. The number of games Sanchez has turned the ball over more than once in a game over the last 2 years.
    6. The number of games Sanchez did not turn the ball over once the last two seasons.
    15. The number of times Sanchez failed to pass for 200 yards over the last 2 seasons.
    15. The number of times Sanchez had a passer rating less than 70 over the last two years.
    72. Sanchez's average passer rating over the last two years.
    50. The number of turnovers Sanchez has had over the last two years.
13-17. His record over the last 2 years.
    0. The amount of players that have turned the ball over more in the last 2 years.
    2. The number of QBs (Gabbert and Cassel) who have started the last 2 years while having a worse passer rating average.

Now whats so great/hopeful about those numbers?

Schotty and Sparano both had shit systems. Sanchez has experienced success and failure.

Sparano's was the biggest failure but Sparano was also given absolutely no time, no personnel help, and a dearth of injuries to deal with. Fair shake? Hell no.

It's not about Mark Sanchez. It's about the Jets.

It's a simple matter of distance...

Tom Brady o's going to the HoF because they don't ask him to throw more than 8 yards generally.

Thank you coach Weiss. Gee. Fucking rockt science there.

    Franchise QB.

In the era of the Polian rule??

Prior to the recent trend of young QBs coming in and having immediate success, for most QBs it was the norm for the light not to come on until closer to age 30. Waiting until Sanchez turns 30 would be crazy, but is waiting one more year to see what he does under an OC with a history of getting the best out of QBs equally insane? And is exceptional QB play from Sanchez the only thing that would satisfy you?

Thinking out loud, I'm really curious to see where Russell and Kapernick's games will be 3-4 years from now. Will defenses have caught on? Will they be "elite"? Will they regress?

Don't need to defend the coach, like I said the OC does not effect a QB's accuracy, decision making or ability to read defenses.

Players win or lose the game, if they execute the team wins, unless the coach makes some very bad decisions, but the OC doesn't throw the ball in to triple coverage, the OC doesn't throw the ball long or short, the OC doesn't get the snap and not see the open receiver, the OC doesn't catch the snap only to fumble it away.

Fact is the Jets tried to let sanchez throw deep, he kept making bad decisions, they put him on a leash to short passes, he kept missing his targets. I've never seen a QB with as crappy accuracy on screen passes as Sanchez.

Fact is A crappy coach never got a player fired,
But crapppy players have gotten coaches fired.

Or you're just biased against Sanchez like many here and don't realize the Jets have had a collective problem that includes Sanchez but does not stop with him.
