When your rebuilding plan is based on half centuries instead of 3 years it does.

    Regressed?

He improved consistently for 3 years under Schittenheimer.

The template you need to look at is Testaverde.

Once they stopped asking him to go outside and down the field, he went from being a punch line, to a top 5 QB. And nacho, isn't old yet.

Why don't you explain to the class how Sanchez, is a fundamentally (I don't think you grasp the connotations of the word) different player?

Look at the Rex/Pettins situation. MAybe Marty wanted to show he could do things without another offensive guru baby-sitting him...

The Jets didn't run a WCO with Testeverde in 98. His yards per attempt and throws down the field were substantially higher than his career average.

Testeverde was a big strong QB who was tailor made to throw the ball down the field.

Charlie Weiss, stopped asking him to go long all the time.

Look up what Parcells said, when the media ridiculed him for signing him.

And his YPA was lower during his Jets tenure, till they benched him for Pennington.

He was my choice as well..... for a couple of reasons

agreed...... This doesn't seem like a good fit, but it probably means Sanchez is out the door, because he's the square peg in the round hole of a timing/ short pass oriented WCO...... we'll see :shit:

The good thing about pairing the new OC with a new GM is that neither will have an agenda or than simply rebuilding the offense. If it were MM and MT then I'd be concerned that MT would push Sanchez on MM in order to cover for the way he ran the cap. With Idzik I suspect Sanchez will be a write off and they'll do what they must to get the O going again regardless of Sanchez.

Bingo. Think about the results in the context of the talent he had as opposed to in a vacuum. Jets moving out of the stone ages is a good thing but this is more complicated than people are letting on; most OCs would do well with studs at each skill position.

Are you serious? That's an absolute joke. This offense has been among the most conservative in the league. Don't try to paint it as some high wire act to distract from how much Sanchez sucks.

Wake me up when Mr. Down the Field cracks 3000 yards.

Watching Sanchex every week fundamentally distorts your view of what the position should look like if played well and without training wheels. Most fans are going to be blown away when a real QB shows up in Florham Park...someday.

I'd say the best description for the Jets offense is dysfunctional.

The Jets front office failed to build an offense around Sanchez, and that has really revealed the flaws / weaknesses in Sanchez game.

I'm open to see how it all pans out. Please just don't bring in Vick. That would be a nightmare.

I believe you are going to get your wish.

The Jets dont have the cap room or draft picks to pick up a quality/back up QB.

Rex and Morningwood will go with Sanchez...you have too much invested in him not to.

    Are you related to nyjunc?

i understand that they want to pass more, i just hope they have a plan to bring in a QB to execute in this pass happy offense.

You're post is an absolute joke.

I tape all the games. I rewatch them after the fact. They do not give him many easy throws.
    Phil Simms agrees with me.

And Sanchez threw for over 3K, in 2010 and 2011, mr. Stats. And he only missed 3k by less than 200 yards THIS YEAR, while throwing to Clyde gates, and Mardy Gilyard, and Conrad Reuland.( and in 15 games)

If you're going to speak, at least make an attempt to know what you are talking about.

You're simply wrong. He threw down the field with the Jets in 98 when they were good with Vinny. Under Hacket his YPA went down, WCO.

The guy on the roster has completed 55 percent on average, playing in shitty offenses.

A screen game, and some quick releases over the middle, will put him at 60 plus.

It's a simple question, (re:Sanchez) of understanding what you're looking at.

Respectfully, I would say if you are not going back and watching the games ala film study (read, not in real time), than you don't know what you're looking at.

    Biggs, you're simply wrong here.

Keith Byars, Wayne Chrebet, and Curtis Martin caught the majority of Vinnys passes. Any YPA is YAC.

Keyshawn Johnson was their main down the field threat and he did not average 15 YPC.
