There must a lot of people missing half a brain then. I'm glad I'm not one of them. 7 pages into the potential OC thread and no one mentioned MM until someone posted that he was in for an interview. Also, I'm not exactly sure what you are arguing; your post is both confrontational and cryptic. Reading between the lines I'm guessing you are a Sanchez fan. No one believes McNabb would be supplanting Nacho, at least not I. I just thought he would be a good back-up and, if Sanchez continues his downward spiral, a good stop gap until our next QB. He's a seasoned vet who knows the offense, I don't see how bringing him in would be a bad thing. BTW 4 TDs to 2 INTs isn't half bad if you have a defense that just needs the QB to not loose the game for you.
Jil, chow, and Sarkisian both embraced what style of offense. You are finally going to get the guy we THOUGHT we drafted....
Not MM specifically...good call there...but both Schittenheimer and spermrambo were stuck in the 70s. But McNabb? God forbid Sanchez gets his knee folded back, he'd be third behind Tebow, and McElroy.
I know why u see it this way and in some sense - it should fit MS better - but I don't see it happening. What I saw last year was a beaten QB just like ken obrien back in the late 80's. I don't think a third offensive system which demands more from the QB is gonna fly.
O'Brien was a far better QB than Sanchez (with a way worse OL). Just sayin. I agree though. Sanchez is broken, he has been since last year.
Dude we're not getting a franchise QB next year, our cap won't allow any major trade and there's no one for us to draft. That said Vick will still be too expensive, Sanchez will be the starter next year.
The only options are to keep Sanchez and bring in alex Smith or Matt Flyyn , either that or we waste a draft pick on Geno Smith if he is still there or even worse Matt Barkley, Who knows what Izdik has in mind his seat isn't even warm yet and people are predicting we are gonna suck next year
Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN I'm told that a Michael Vick & Marty Mornhinweg reunion with the Jets is unlikely at this point. #nyj
This. There is no way we're cutting Sanchez, or bringing in a franchise quarterback. With all the holes in our roster we can't afford to NOT use Sanchez. And for all the posters who insist next season is a rebuilding year it should make even more sense to keep Sanchez; fix the other holes and go after a QB next year when the pickings are better. Let Idzik bring in some talent and see what Sanchez can do under MM, especially if we fix the line and the running game. Between Idzik and MM I'm excited!
