When it's official it can be it's own thread. This guy has already reported Gamble is the guy, so his word is not exactly the most reliable at this point. No other news outlet is reporting it either ... just like last time when he was wrong.
No one knows whether anyone will be a good hire until at least a few years from now. So whoever it is, we'll see.
So Woody hired outside eyes to run the search, and ran a thorough process of evaluating all options. He clearly did not 'let Rex hire the GM'. We also had a ton of viable candidates apply thru the course of this process. None of them seemed to say, f this circus, i need full power and new coach, the cap is too daunting, the owner is a loser. So all the darksiders on this board have been completely wrong about....well just about everything so far. Yet somehow i am POSITIVE they continue bashing this process, this GM, Woody, and Rex despite the Jets making the right decisions so far. The media will do the same, so i actually hope there is no press conference of any sort.
Thats very good to hear. Im glad that he's so well rounded. Hopefully this can end all of this "cap guy" talk because it seems like he's had his hands in a lot more than that.
Heard woody was pretty sold on sundquist When asking about the Sanchez tebow situation he had a great answer But then again you never know with the Jets.
He was in the office when they won there back to back super bowls and in his 6 years as GM they made the play offs 5 of the 6 years outside of his last where they were 7-9
First of all, I am not aware of any poster on this board, however you characterize them, saying that Woody would let Rex hire the GM. That's a straw man. Woody did say that Rex would have input. That is what posters were concerned about. As they should have been. As for the part bolded, you make me laugh. You have nothing but a "seems to my homer eyes" to base that on. NOTHING.
