Edwards,Holmes,Hill,Kerley,Keller,Cumberland.(and Cumberland played well late, he's not Zgro kiosk or Hernandez, but as a blocking TE he's shown very god hands..l)
Norv Turner is gone. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...o-join-browns-staff-as-offensive-coordinator/ Son of a bitch
I never thought he was realistically come here anyway. If Jay Gruden does not get a head coaching job, I think Hue Jackson will be the guy. If he does, I think it'll be Mularkey.
Perfect. Not sold on why Turner would be the savior like most of you anyway. Just another retread in my book. A "safe" choice. Offensively the game is changing, evolving. I'd like our team to change with the times. Guys like Sparano, Norval, Cam Cameron, Chan Gailey, Mularkey etc... are behind the times. I'd like a firey, young coordinator who's akin to this changes - not afraid to try something new and take risks. The Jets don't need a big name - just take a shot on a guy like this.
Norv shouldn't even be in the same breath as Cameron, Gailey, Sparano and Mularkey. Out of those guys, Norv has the most credible offense and he's the better play-caller compared to those guys you mentioned. Norv knows about the modern game and modern NFL offenses. He ran a vertical offense in San Diego. Jets aren't going to hire a young hotshot - Rex and Woody are too far up each others' asses. We are going to be very disappointed if we hire Mularkey. He maybe a step above Sparano, but he's not going to help us get our offense back to credibility. Not so sure about Hue Jackson ... doesn't he want to coach the college game?
next jets gm the next gm will be scot cohen.no doubt.woody will tighten his purse strings for sure.he knows that the next season will be a wash.so why not go in house for a gm.
Maybe I'm panicking a bit, but this GM/OC search is starting to bug me. Lots of names, nothing definitive. Let's get something done and move on...!!! Disappointed that Turner is no loner available. He could have helped Sanchez. His one year with the 49ers he did wonders with a young Alex Smith. If I hear the name Cam Cameron, I'm going to throw up. I like the idea of Ken Whisenhunt being the OC.
Think outside the box,,, we need a guy who not only can do it but has done it before. I heard guys on the radio talking about him today and I would love it ! The guy has been black balled and for whatever reason cannot get back in the NFL,,,he has a history with Rex and with NY,,I say give him a chance because he has done it before and again I think he can be good at it-------> Jim Fassel
I really like Hue Jackson & think his scheme will mesh well w/ Rex. Physical up front...attack the edges & a truly downfield passing game.
