sounds like what pats fans said about the 6th round pick back in 2000-1. rather have him than suckchise, the turnover machine , playing. even if he's the hold-the-fort guy until next year's draft.
I truly cant believe what I heard during that press conference. Incredible. When Rex said "the Jets will be a team that other teams hate playing against" i cringed..I was at my desk and just cringed. I couldnt believe my ears. Can anyone be that stupid to think we are stupid to throw that shit at us...AGAIN? Im speechless..really. When he said that, didnt Woody want to grab him by the collar and rip him off the stage? Is Woody that gullible too? Is this really happening that a coach can say he is "starting over"? I feel like this is a really cheap copy of the twilight zone. How the frig does anyone get the nerve to say something like that in the 21st century. How. I really like Rex..at least I thought I did. Not really anymore. Either he is dumber than a piece of dog shit on the side of the road..or he thinks Im dumber than a piece of dog shit on the side of the road. Either way its not a good situation. Its borderline sick to root for this team. Its the true definition of a fan to be able come the first game of the season next year to be ready to roll...all in. Just isnt good for the soul. Edit: I realized this isnt even the proper thread for this post to be in. Excuse me. I came here to vent and like a homeless person...stopped in to the first place that looked like they might have food. Very sorry.
wasnt rex the guy who kept trotting sancheese out there week after week even though the rest of hte world saw he was no good. sanchez sucking is partially rex fault, sanchez sucking for weeks and weeks and weeks until we were eliminated from the playoffs and then even again after he was benched... twice. yeah thats on rex.
Woody wanted Tebow here, and Rex took the blame for it. Since the season is over it seems obvious to me that Rex never had intentions to play Tebow at QB. It took Woody to see for himself how much he has embarrassed this team with his meddling, to understand owners have their place and Football coaches and GMs have theirs. They don't have to mix.
You must not be getting the weekly memos that tell you who gets the blame for Mark Sanchez. This week it's Cavanaugh, last week it was Sparano, and I heard rumors that next week it's Ken O'Brien. Remember now, you can't blame Rex because he was the man responsible for leading us to not one but two AFC championship games back in the 1950's. Read the memos next time, dummy.
