Do you think Robert Kraft would do this nonsense? The Rooney's?. Teams that are winning franchises do not promote medicority or reward it. I understand Cohen may not have had a direct role in the situation but to act like he played no part in it is naive. What was his title again? Did he receive a paycheck to do nothing? I wonder if the guy from Midnight Oil is available? No rock unturned?
It amazes me how many scapegoats the Jets are willing to throw under the bus just to save Ryan's ass. Now if they hire Cohen, you know who will be the defacto GM and President? Woody's BFF that's who. That Woody don't just make Ryan GM and President of Football Ops is amazing. All of this theatre for what..? Well, at least other miserable, losing franchises can say: " At least we're not the Jets.."
While I admire your spirit in this debate, I must advise you that you have no future as a detective. Unless you actually saw someone commit murder with your own eyes, you'd be completely unable to investigate/question/arrest someone unless you were in fact a witness to the crime when it took place. Rex was on par with Tanny, if not had an upper hand in the decisions of this team's makeup. All one needs to do is remember his famous comments to Don Banks of SI shortly after the draft regarding Stephen Hill in the 2nd round, - ""Well, nothing told me he would (contribute)," Ryan told Don Banks of Sports Illustrated. "Nothing. When I saw the tape (of his collegiate play) I was concerned. But (Jets general manager) Mike Tannenbaum and (senior personnel executive) Terry Brady and all our scouts were adamant about this guy. They were adamant that this guy can do it. "He can run all these routes, he had good hands and he's got 4.2 speed at 6-foot-5. He was the guy they all wanted, but honestly, when it came down to it, a wideout? Not my dream pick. But now that we have him, of course, I want to claim him: 'Oh, that was my pick.' But it really wasn't." So when its not his choice/pick/decision, - the guy sure as hell lets you know its not.
Jeez, ---- this shit going on w/Scott Cohen/Rex/Woody is almost like Groundhog Day w/the Knicks/Dolan/Isaiah Thomas time period.
Am I the only one who thinks Tanny will get rehired with some VPish title if they pick Cohen to be the GM. The reason they buried Tanny before the interviews started was because the firm they hired told Woody that Tanny in the organization would lessen their chances of catching a big fish candidate. If they hire in house, that changes everything.
If that happens, the only "fans" they'd still have would be the diehard homers that never see anything wrong with anything the Jets do. They would be absolutely savaged in the media and all credibility would be lost for the forseeable future.
Thats another fumbling moment we ogot to put in the poll o Rex's stupidities. Im still trying to figure out what the fuck he was saying about Hill. Hees so embarrassing to have as our "leader". I said it right after Hard Knocks. What a fucking buffoon
I might jump off a bridge it that happens.... fortunately for me I have this bad boy about 45 minutes from home Splash.... right into the Colorado River
That pic is too cool! I still regret cancelling a visit there last time I went to Vegas. We were supposed to take a helicopter there. I won't make that mistake again.
if hiring someone in a position that they might actually be better suited for and may excel in makes some fans abandon ship, good riddance.
Dude... thing towers over the Hoover Dam.. 900 feet above the Colorado River.. Here is another angle If Tanny is rehired search the rocks on the Arizona side for the lifeless body of BTB
Is there any reason to assume that Scott Cohen would be exactly like Tannenbaum, or are we all just being whiny reactionary bitches again?
Based on what I've seen there are only 3 people who decided to take the plunge... When I lived in Idaho we drove over this bad boy on our way to Boise.. I know people base jump off of it
