We can still win with Sanchez. But to do that we need to go back to basics. Draft a RT and some depth guys on the line and rejuvenate the ground n pound of a couple of years ago.

^Thats like saying we can win with a shitty QB if we run the ball and play good D. No shit. Get Alex Smith in here to protect the ball. We have seen all we need to see from Sanchez.

    1. Sanchez played like shit. I supported Sanchez till last year - then things turned sour even on me too.

    2. That said, I know Sanchez had Cav as his QB coach all along, and Schottenheimer/Sparano tag team as his OC. That not a winning formula for any QB.

    3. Rex knows how to construct a defense - and that is always a HUGE asset. Unlike offense, defense has to be solid all around the roster to be effective. (Ask Bill Walsh. He will tell you exactly the same thing.) As you can see, Jets defense is anything but solid all over. Their LB corp is pitiful - and that's a very generous assessment. Even with such a huge liability at the second level, Ryan still commandeers formidable defense. That cannot be discounted, circus or not.

    4. It will depend on how the replacement process goes along the LB corp, and the cap situation - but you can rest assured Ryan will always field a competitive defense. As for offense, I still think Sanchez can be salvaged, as long as his QB coach can do some work worth a damn (unlike that useless fuck Cav) and the OC can actually get to use the strength Sanchez brings to the table. (i.e. varying the launch point would always help Sanchez, as he was always a good QB on the run - Sparano never utilized this. What the fuck?)

LOL at "Sanchez has never been put in a position to succeed"

    Excuses never stops...

Sanchez does well, he was put in position to succeed... Sanchez does bad, he never put in position to succeed. It's as simple as that. It goes for all positions in the NFL not just QB.

Sanchez is a shit QB that I don't want to EVER see take the field again for the Jets.

I wonder who these Sanchez lover clowns are... the dude sucks... not just this season BUT HIS ENTIRE CAREER.

I want to believe that we will have the type of season next season that the Giants had the first Superbowl of the 2000's when the Gmen Fans and Analyst were looking to fire Coughlin but some how he came out the fire with a Superbowl Trophy. Im probably dreaming again but hopefully it can get done.

You aren't the only one left with faith in either one. Lot less with faith in Sanchez but a lot of guys have faith in Rex.

I have no faith in either, for the record.

Great post! I have faith in Rex but I've lost my faith that Sanchez can recover, at least under Rex. Sanchez's regression occurred under Rex's watch, so you have to think that Rex is part of his problem. Steve Young talks about it all the time, about how difficult it is for a young QB to develop under a HC that doesn't care about his side of the ball. So technically I still to think Sanchez is salvageable but sadly I think that will happen somewhere else.

    .............NY Jets Release Mark Sanchez..............

If that ticker appeared at the bottom of your ESPN screen you would get excited for the 2013 season and run to TGG to see if it is for real. Admit it. It's OK.

Can you show us that you posted this in January 2011 when he beat Tom Brady in NE in the playoffs ?

After you answer that, answer these:

    (1) Is Jerome Kerley a #3 WR on any of the playoff teams we saw today ?

    (2) Is Sean Greene a #2 or #3 RB on these teams ??
