Not a chance in hell Cro goes anywhere. Not only has he proven his worth, but he's leverage against Revis' inevitable hostage situation come August.

I would be absolutely shocked if one of the two CB's doesn't get moved.

This is true, and why I always hate that "no. 1 pass defense" nonsense. I've seen plenty of teams that were num 2 vs the pass and no 30 vs the run, and vice versa. What is the OVERALL defense rank? That tells a more accurate story.

8th is their overall defense rank.

Cutting those big cap guys is a must.

Most of the FA's outside of Landry are just role players.
The Jets, due to cap limitations, will need good role players and leaders at a value price.
I'd try negotiating with every one of them. Re-sign where there is value of role:price, let the others feeling entitled to big money (i have a feeling Keller among others) walk..

Landry is worthy of our only medium grade splash.
If he wants big time money, have to let him walk too, and focus on value vets.

Devito we should keep. He has been a solid contributor. Lets not go apeshit and let go of people like him. Pace, Scott and even Thomas are in a serious decline and way too slow.

    i would absolutely retain Devito.
Probably even Bryan Thomas for a year. We need value vets on this team.
Also need to focus on offense, so can't just gut the D.

You don't win in the NFL paying 1/5 of the cap to two CBs. Revis is going to want $15 million per and he is just not worth it.

I like Cromartie, but he's not better than Revis, and if I had to move one, I'd move Cromartie. Rather keep both.

I expect those cuts and like 2 or 3 restructures similar to Brick's last year where he got a roster bonus rather than guaranteed salary which in turn didn't hurt our future cap

Your over the cap now and need to sign your core players...so who do you keep?

Sanchez alone is going to be an issue.

We gave up a 3rd for cro. He is worth at least that since he had his second best year as a pro.

    we need picks bad.

Laundry will be gone. The Jets can't franchise him even if they wanted which would have been stupid. Bell will be 35 years old. One year deal or see ya. Cromartie and Revis. If the Jets can move one of them, nothing should be off the table

Gut the LB core. Pace and Scott cut. Thomas not re-signed.

Pouha cut. DeVito will get more money somewhere else.

Sanchez traded. $8.9M bonus. Pick up $6M of the salary. $14.9M cap hit. Good bye

Tebow. Cut if he can't be traded. McCoy might get the Bears job. There's Jacksonville.

    Moore not re-signed.

Greene and Keller? They'll probably go somewhere else especially Keller. The Jets need a RB with or without Greene on the roster.

Go young. Trade down. Accumulate picks. Sign college free agents.
