im calling it now. sanchez gets injured in the 2nd quarter, we are forced to bring tebow in but instead bring in kerley... but he only knows 3 plays so we are forced to bring tebow in who only knows 15 plays and he leads the team to a victory. fml
no wonder why he looked terrible after halftime probably got the concussion in the 2nd quarter and they let him continue to play sad
On the bright side Sanchez usually plays well against the Bills, hopefully they can increase his trade value from a conditional 7th to a 5th round
I'm sorry, and you guys can flame me all you want.... ...but not letting Tebow start this game is an asshole move by Rex. If Rex has never had any faith that Tebow could play, then why did he NOT dress McElroy all those weeks when an injury would have forced Tebow into the game. That doesn't sound like doing things that put the jets in the best position to win... A good coach like John Fox taylored his whole offense to what Tebow COULD do to give his team the best chance to win. This coaching staff couldn't even come up with any decent plays to run with Tebow, even though they promised all sorts of magical trickery. When it was obvious 5 or 6 games into the season that Sanchez wasn't going to get done, they had the opportunity to go for with Tebow the way the Broncos did last year. They chose to bury their heads in the sand and pray things would work out rather than take a shot. While it is pure speculation, I really think this team would be playing for a wildcard spot if the coaching staff had had the balls to do what the Broncos did last year, especially since the Jets D is better than last year's Broncos D.
Let's have a good start to get him feeling good heading into the offseason then hopefully surround him w/ more weapons and watch him take off in 2013.
Start Tebow is the best thing Jets can do. Right now he's got almost zero trade value. If he starts & plays well (after all the drama this season) then it's possible you can get a 5th or even 4th rounder for him. Tebow is off the team but that doesn't mean you should not bother trying to help his trade value. Nothing to gain from playing Sanchez. Possibility of gaining something from playing Tebow.
That and he's probably in way above his head in the NFL. Especially with a team that is severely lacking offensive talent.
Apparently, the rest of the leagues fans are right, all Jets fans are supposed idiots  Amazing, just amazing
It'd probably be in everyone's best interests if sanchez never plays a down for the jets again. He will certainly get an opportunity elsewhere, but it shouldn't be here. Everyone is done with him. The damage has been done.
