If he wanted to make a play to win the game, the best thing to do would be to either throw it out of bounds or scramble and make something happen. Don't just throw into fucking triple coverage. That is absolutely moronic.

I cannot believe that even after Monday night, there are STILL Sanchez sycophants. This is exactly why he plays like shit, nobody in the organization will publicly call him out for it, and there are too many people who still defend him.

4 years in the league, 50 turn overs the past two seasons.
over 4 seasons he's thrown 68 picks and fumbled the ball 41 times...now not all the fumbles were lost of course but still 41 fumbles? and that's just the regular season..
    61 games, 68 interceptions, 41 fumbles.....

He's never even been a good game manager.

I'm not a typical fan that gets swayed by the media. has he been awful this year? absolutely but does that mean he is done forever? of course not. he's done far too much good for us to throw him away but again whiny, pathetic fans will dictate this b/c our organization is gutless.

Did the Giants give up on Eli? No, you don't give up on young talent that has had success. He needs help both w/ talent and coaching but it's asinine to give up on him.

Eli years 6,7,8 & 9 has more turnovers than sanchez years 1-4 and that is w/ elite talent around him unlike Sanchez who has seen his talent decrease the last 2 years.

If you had your own team and you saw Sanchez struggling with the Jets, would you trade for him?

that's a loser mentality tho. winners want to make plays and have the supreme confidence that the can at any moment.

That's not a loser mentality, it's a winning mentality. Do you think any other QB in the league would throw into triple coverage with the game on the line?

I have said this many times before

there are two types of quarterbacks. Game managers and gun slingers

and the gun slingers do very much throw into triple coverage. it's up to the receivers to make a play

You are fucking kidding me. Please tell me you're a troll. Please...

How can you possibly believe the bile you're posting. Throwing into triple coverage doesn't make you a gun slinger. It makes you an idiot.

However Eli was asked to make plays over and over again and he threw for how many yds and TDs in those years compared to Sanchez?

Jets ran a very conservative offense with Sanchez and STILL he managed to give the ball away a ton.

Yeah but when they fail over and over again they become losers. It's not just the intention that counts!

Throwing into triple coverage on first down in the redzone late in a 1 score defensive game is retarded. I don't care what "type" of QB you are.

    Sanchez blows.

You realize you sound more like a Sanchez Fan than a Jet fan, don't you? Maybe you don't care.

That kind of thinking is thoroughly discredited. Turnovers have historically been undervalued by non-statistically-minded coaches, but nobody undervalues interceptions any more or tolerates QBs who throw them (fumbles is a different matter). How is it that passing records are tumbling all around the league, yet those same high-powered QBs have Int% rates are at near-historic lows and TD-Int rates that are off the charts? Their receivers always make the play?

Why the *#()$(# is throwing into triple coverage the right play? There are five eligible receivers, one of them has three defenders on him, what about the rest? Or pull it down and scramble, throw it away, anything.

Throwing to the off shoulder of a covered receiver is one thing. Throwing at a covered mismatch is different (Brady throwing bombs to double-covered Randy Moss was still a good play against the Phins). But throwing into triple coverage when there's no advantage to be had? When there's plenty of time in the game? Really?

we've won? how have we won? we are JETS fans, not SANCHEZ fans or MCELROY fans. We haven't won. We've lost because of the utter ineptitude of the player you blindly support. What do we have to lose with McElroy under center with 2 completely meaningless games? What do we have to gain with Sanchez continuing to play?

Your popcorn and barf bag? Have you been watching our games this season? Your barf bag should be full, but it seems as long as your precious butt buddy Sanchez is playing your happy.

Face facts. Sanchez is garbage. No matter what you blindly say, it doesn't make it true. He should have been benched weeks ago, and perhaps if he was we'd be watching a meaningful game this weekend.

It's true you got me. I dress up in a Sanchez skirt and top and wave green pom poms in front of my TV when he comes out of the tunnel. That's the real reason I think Mcelroy's 2 game performance in what are essentially exhibition games with no league tape on him are meaningless.

Sanchez broke your heart and now your new love just has to be the prettiest girl at the dance. I've seen this before and I'm just trying to save you the heart break when Mcelroy breaks your little heart in two.

I'm not just recovering from Sanchez being benched, I still wake up in cold sweats thinking if only Matt Robinson started the Miami game...

I guess I'm the only one who thinks turnovers are exciting in football? It's the 3 and outs that I simply can't watch over and over again.
