People score touchdowns, believe it or not. I know it's hard for you to understand, but it is true.

Leads DO change. When they do, it's important to have a QB who can erase or minimize a four point deficit.

Stop defending him. He sucks, he's terrible, he should go.

again, our O sucks and the D knows it. You can't allow that quick TD drive immediately after we finally score an offensive TD to take the lead.

The offense turned the ball over 5 times. The defense is slow in the front 7....but other than that....there's nothing to even talk about with the defense. Mark Sanchez was the reason the Jets lost.

So basically, the Jets defense needs to never give up a score because the offense is too inept to score and if the defense does give up a touchdown, it's all the defenses fault?

    Stop.

Face it, Sanchez sucks. The offense sucks. The defense isn't great but I'm not going to harp on them for giving up a touchdown. These things happen. Big picture, it's 2012 NFL football. If you hold the opposition to 14 points, you should win. And if in the 2 games before that you give up a combined 16 points... the games shouldn't be nail-biters.

The defense isn't perfect but it's ridiculous to focus on that side of the ball when the offense is clearly the biggest problem.

You give up only 14 points, you should win 95% of the time.

Jesus the Sanchez nut hugger still going on blaming others...

The defense held them to 14 points and got a HUGE stop which put the ball back in Sanchez hands right on the red zone and Sanchez spit the bit with two turnovers within a minute.

The defense did its job who cares if one of the scores was a long run, they held the Titans to 14 points. You can't ask for more, the offense particularly Sanchez was horrible with 5 turnovers, 2 of them in the final minute of the game right on the cusp of scoring territory.

We gave up 30 combined points in three games.

In all of our wins, we gave up an average of 14 points a game.

We held the Patriots to 20 offensive points.

We held Houston to 23 points.

We played toe to toe with Seattle until douchebag threw a pick six.

The only three games that I felt defense gave up on were SF, Miami, Pitt, and the second New England game.

But for the most part, the defense has done MORE than enough to keep us in the game.

Seriously? They let up 14 points. Average points per game in the NFL is 22. That is almost half of the average. In other words, the Titans only scored 1/2 of the average. That is a failing grade for the Titans offense no matter how you slice it. What do you expect from the defense, a shut out? How does it matter when the points were scored? This is ALL on the offense. Not being able to score 15 or more points, which is below average to begin with, is pathetic.

Calvin Pace admitted as much during the postgame. He knows there's no margin for error, that the D can only give up like 3 or 7 points a game for the team to have a chance to win.

Our defense has given up an average of 22 points a game through 14 games this season.

That includes some of the blowouts where we've had turnovers on offense and special teams.

I would think a good offense can routinely score roughly 20 points a game, give or take.

Point is, defense is NOT the problem. I like having a good defense and low scoring games.

The D was handed a lead w/ under 2 mins left in the NE game- they BLEW IT after we came back from 10 pts down.

you should win most games when you allow 14 but our O sucks and when they finally scored our D failed as it always seems to do in big spots.

With an average offense the Jets are probably 9-5 or better right now.

    Speaking of that.

Yeah, they allowed a field goal.

Had Sanchez not been an idiot and not thrown a RED. ZONE. PICK. we would have had three on the board.

If everything proceeds the same way, we would have been up six and they would have needed a touchdown to score with around 1:18 left and one timeout. A LOT harder than it sounds.

Great. Giving up 14 points the whole game is a reason to blame? Really?

In any given game, if your defense holds the opposing O under 2 scores (which the Jets D did in flying fashion, including a monster FG block) the offense has to do its job.

10 points while committing 4 turnovers? In the red zone, nonetheless? And you STILL have the nerve to call out defense?

    Unreal, man. Just unreal.

we were 2nd and 8 at the 36, if he throws an incomplete pass we have 3rd and 8 at the 36 and are nowhere near a chip shot FG. That pick did not cost us and had nothing to do w/ the D choking at the end of the game.

You're obtuse. Sanchez completes the pass, we're down the field thus making a field goal easier.

Sanchez throws an incomplete, maybe we just run the ball to get into better field goal range. Nick Folk was drilling 40-50 yarders that game.

Instead, Sanchez throws a pick in his own territory and wipes out three points on the field.

You look like a fucking idiot blaming the defense for the loss last night.
