Kinda sucks I have to root against Shonn Greene for FF. Just get 90 yards rushing and Ill be content. (Up by 10.5)

Anyone fancy giving a brief outline of how the Jets' playoff hopes are looking? What do I have to look for? I'm in Europe and can't figure out if I should stay up until 5am to watch the game.

    Jets have to win out.

Steelers have to finish 8-8 and the Bengals have to finish 9-7. Thats essentially the only way we get in.

Heres the NFL playoff machine just in case you were interested: http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine

Ok, I can see that the Jets have three losing teams left in their schedule. So it would be possible to win out. How realistic is it that the other results go the Jets' way.

Its not overly impossible by any means. With the Steelers losing yesterday, it puts us in a much better spot.

If youre looking for percentages, I'd give the Jets a 40% chance at making the playoffs. Personally, the hardest part will be winning all three games.

The Chargers are the most challenging team that we face IMO. They have a very stout run defense and if we want to win we'll have to pass, which really hasnt gone well for us this year. Good news is we play them at home.

Even though the ESPN scenario doesnt show it wouldnt the Jets get in if the Bengals, Steelers and Jets were all 9-7. In that case Jets would be 7-5 in conference, Cincinatti and Pittsburgh would both be 6-6. That is what I had read somewhere. But I am not sure if that is what the tiebreak scenario would be.

If Hill had held on to the damn ball at NE, Jets would be 7-6!
