"Sunday is going to be the last game Sanchez plays for this team if he sucks balls, so I think it's a good choice to start him."

What makes you think this is so? It doesn't seem to matter how many games Sanchez sucks in -- Rex still gives him the start.

One of the Worse things that happened to the Rex Ryan stint with the Jets (other than of course ol' Mr butt fumble)

Geez, that is so not the issue here.

The issue is that Ryan seemed to say he would be credible. Now he is not credible.

The only way to make sense of his situation is that he is not making these decisions for sound football reasons, but as part of some group consensus based on some other agenda, like Tanny and him feeling they are in too deep on the Sanchez Investment. Either that (which at least is plausible, if truly awful), or Rex has lost his mind.

Well, I certainly hope Rex doesn't think most fans believe him anymore. Because THAT would be truly delusional.

it's all about winning, when we win Rex is a genius, when we don't he's the worst coach in the league according media and most fans.

Agreed. I can't believe how many people always bring that up. Every negative comment about Rex or Sanchez is followed up with "back to back AFCCGs" it's absolutely crazy.

I agree with the article but you have to account for Seattle's badass defense and skittle eating machine.

Going to back to back AFCCG's was one of the worst things to happen to the Ryan stint? Are you a Jets fan?

I would think most Jets fans really enjoyed those runs.

Fck this article. RR gets ripped for bravado and being vocal and now he gets ripped for toning it down. God I hate people.

Sure we all did. However, way too many Jets fans and I'm sure even people in the organization are clinging to those back to back AFCCGs as an excuse as to why things, even though they've regressed greatly in the past two years, don't need to change.

I love Rex but you have to admit that 2010 was a while ago and it's hard to make excuses for him any more, especially after we're about to miss the playoffs 2 years in a row. That said, I think starting Sanchez was absolutely the best decision and NOT simply a money move.

Rex may be the best HC in terms of X's and O's... in terms of managing human beings he sucks big time (unless you put him in a locker-room where Ray Lewis and Ed Reed make sure everyone's accountable).

    So what?
The talent level of the team has greatly decreased since 2010.
The team will be going on two seasons of no playoff football.
The "franchise" quarterback has regressed greatly and is looking like a wasted fifth overall pick.
The drafting overall has been well below average.
The Jets haven't beaten any good teams this year and even if they win out will only have beaten one playoff team (unless Indy collapses).
The team has been run like a circus and RR has done very little to alleviate that.
The team has been an embarrassment around the NFL for the past two seasons.

The actions of this team over the past two seasons are untenable and it starts with Tanny and Rex.

Listen to the first 30 seconds of this video. Terrell Suggs tells it how it is (not about Tebow, but the record).

It's downright PATHETIC that back-to-back AFCCG APPEARANCES, NOT WINS, APPEARANCES, are treated like they're Super Bowl victories around here. Absolutely pathetic and also IN THE PAST. IT'S OVER NOW. These are the same blowhards who after the team goes 8-8 again in 2013 will be saying the same nonsense again, three years removed.

    Some fans are incredible.

Not having the balls to pull an underperforming QB and actually having to ask the opinion of a glorified accountant (Tanny) has nothing to do with toning it down... it has all to do with being an inept leader of men.

REx had it easy in Baltimore, he could be the good fun going bravado guy and Harbaugh, Lewis, Reed, Suggs would kick you in the ass if you were underperforming. Here in NY NO ONE has that sort of charisma... and so everyone is underperforming.

You have never once, thru all the bullshit with the media, anon sources and finger pointing, nobody inside that locker room has questioned RRs ability to lead this team, or said they have a problem with his philosophy.

I believe Tannenbaum and Bradway should be the ones to go for the downward spiral of the last two years. Poor drafting has fucked us.

Have U not yet learned that NY Junc is probably one of the biggest excuse makers on this board whenever anyone posts anything negative on the NYJs. he has the ability to just overlook every historical fact & make up his own facts to replace the real facts
