The Patriots also have to deal with the Texans and 49ers down the stretch while the Jets get the Cardinals and Seahawks.

To me 10-6 will win this division. The Patriots honestly arent that much better and I see more losses for them down the line.

Technically, the Pats are in first place. But that's because they won one more AFC game than we did.

Either way, if we beat them, we'll be in first. Beat Miami, and we're firmly in control of the division.

I think technically we have better division record since its 2-0 vs their 1-0. Who knows, either way we are in first/tied for first

I get what you're saying, but imo, its more than just "a loss is a loss". If it was as easy as teams having identical records, and therefore having the same amount of % of success in the future, then each team in the AFC East right now would have an equal chance of winning the division from this point on. Odds wise, would you give me +300 on the Pats winning the AFC East? (+300 on each team in the division, 25% each) Because in essence that's what you're arguing. And you'd be crazy to offer those odds.

To a degree it's still true.

The Pats are +51 points, we are -8, the Bills are -55.

I know you are what your record says you are, but the Pats are still winning 10 games this year.

When braylon caught that TD, I got the most warmest feeling. First meetup with Patriots for Braylon since he dragged McCourty into the endzone.

Was it Braylon's first TD since then also?

Pats, Broncos and Falcons all locked up their divisions today. Impressive.

Today, Brady also locked up his 10th division title.....a new record. He passed Montana I believe.

It's so discouraging as a Jets fan. I keep thinking the Pats are going to start to slow up and it just never seems to happen.

I feel the exact same way. When Brady retires is when that day will come. We must just be patient.

Amazing what a true franchise QB can do for a franchise.

Hopefully we'll find one in the next 50 years.

Brady isn't just a franchise QB, he's by far the best QB of his generation and a top 5 all time QB. Those guys don't come around often.

Touche. But I did lay out the scenario in which it could happen and I was close

I guess a 9-3 Patriots team vs all other teams at 5-7 AND they have the tie-breaker?? Didn't see that coming.

What really amazes me is that 2 other teams (ATL, DEN) have secured their divisions and Houston has all but locked it up.

And virtually 5 out of 6 playoff spots have been determined in the AFC already.
